Muuuchem··on Coronavirus clue? Most cases aboard U.S. aircraft carrier are symptom-free
Just read it and they were not disputing the existence of two strains but rather that the virus didnt jump from animals twice. The article disputes the claim that because L strain is 70% of the cases, that it must be more virulent.
Muuuchem··on Reddit has become a guide to personal finance
Well nutrition isn't exactly a settled science. There are many problems with studies and as a result we have a wide variety of sometimes contradictory conclusions from them. New conclusions and findings come out but the nutrition community is unable to achieve a consensus understanding on these types of aspects of a diet. There are too many confounding factors involved in studies and it is nearly impossible to design a study that will show the exact effects of eating bacon on the diet without other dietary considerations tainting the results. Like for instance lots of new studies are coming out recently claiming that our disdain for saturated fats is highly misguided. However, nutritionists cannot come to a consensus because old school people stick to what they learn in school without keeping up with studies, people distrust the new studies or argue in favor of the many contradictory studies, etc...

That would never work because only one of those things is profitable, the Ads. I guess also Cloud can be profitable.

Muuuchem··on Video Gaming Will Take Over
Before I had a good job I was playing one game, but lately I have enjoyed playing new games on my switch and emulating games I never played on my android. People like new games. I have shifted away from the service based games.

Muuuchem··on California’s Criminal Cops
What do you know, the most common offenses are alcohol related. People that cant control their own drug use are the front-line warriors in the war on drugs arresting people for not abusing the same drugs they abuse. I know things have obviously gotten better in regards to prohibition in California, but there is still no excuse for people being caged, harrassed, and lightly abused for taking a substance to try and feel better in this shitstorm of pain and suffering that we call life. As long as people arent hurting anyone other than themselves, then no reason to cage them and ruin their ability to get jobs and progress out of the hole that our drug laws put them in.

Idk i just thought that it was incredibly telling that the group of people that continuously arrest others for drugs putting them in situations where they are unable to find employment, do not suffer from the same penalties when they get caught abusing the drug that they say is OK (and is arguably one of the most destructive of all drugs).

It truly sucks to hate and fear the group of people that are supposed to help and protect you in emergency. Even now that I am a professional, long removed from my days of risky behavior like fearing the police while leaving a rave with personal amounts of drugs, they still prove they dont care about helping and are more concerned about their bonuses from finding drugs. The last time I called police because my roommate was drunk and yelling and threatening me, they saw a single syringe cap on the bathroom floor from where my roommate had thrown the bathroom trash can. They got aggressive and started threatening and looking around the apartment and in open rooms without express permission. I work in a biochemistry lab and use syringes, mostlyneedl3less everyday at work, had accidentally thrown some minor trash in my pocket and emptied it out while changing clothing in the bathroom. But this apparently was probable cause enough to be an asshole and search around mildly and forget about the actual reason i called

Muuuchem··on Meetup.com alternatives
Weird, a lot of meetups that I see have fees set up and say that you get into the meetup free if instead you register on Meet More You www.meetmoreyou.com

So they are trying to get people on the platform by putting up a paywall on meetup so that nobody that is tech literate would actually sign up on meetup.

I am surprised that this site hasn't been mentioned once. It seems pretty decent.

Yea but good flower is just so beautiful and smells great (or horrible depending on if you like MJ). I don't think it will ever go away. I recently moved to a legal state and it is nice having access to extracts, but herb seems to always be more cost efficient and usually tastes better.

Muuuchem··on San Francisco hits 106 degrees, breaking record
Ac works by pumping heat out of the house and pulling Air in that passes by coils with compressed solvent. When solvent changes from liquid to gas when released into the coils under less pressure, the molecules absorb heat energy from the incoming air (gasses inheritely have more energy because the molecules are moving around faster). The gasses used are greenhouse gasses which contribute to making the world hotter. You say it's on a small scale, and I agree with you, but so is an individual cow, but cattle contribute a large percentage of the greenhouse gasses. The collective use of air conditioning does indeed contribute to climate change. While it does push out hot air, I don't think this would have a noticeable immediate effect on the local temperature.

Oh and btw I love AC and am totally wtfing about not having AC now that it's hot and all the fans being sold out wrf.

Muuuchem··on Dev Bootcamp Shutting Down
I worked on my own for about 6 months time with a job, but in the 8 weeks that I have been at a well known bootcamp, there is no way I could have developed 1/10th of the knowledge that I have now during the same time period working a shitty job.
