MrMan··on How many layers of UI inconsistencies are in Windows 11?

MrMan··on “My PGP key is compromised, and at least many of my bitcoins stolen”
a really obtuse and clueless response which literally makes the previous posters post for them by dint of its cluelessness
MrMan··on Twitter Sued for Nonpayment of Rent on San Francisco Office
it should be easy to recapitalize Twitter using sales of Tesla stock, so I cant believe its an actual shortage of cash. Probably trying to game the litigation cycle and pay at the very last minute? But to what end, it seems like a doomed game to play, you either have money coming in or you dont.
MrMan··on Fidelity marks down the value of its Twitter stake by 56%
This comment has negative value because it’s casually dismissive but the author feigns knowledge of the subject matter but in fact misleads the reader.

Fidelity employs competent investment analysts. They have determined that twitter is worth less than half it was at the time Musk purchased it. This means Fidelities stake is worth less by the same percentage. None of this has anything to do with the size of Fidelities stake.

MrMan··on Sam Bankman just cashed out $600k, in violation of his bail release terms

MrMan··on Tesla’s 2022 Collapse Hits 69% After Deepest Selloff Since April
"moral compass" is something leftists invented to try to constrain the freedom of value creators. morals are an imaginary thing - ever read Atlas Shrugged? We all need to wake up - the left are trying to destroy capitalism and free speech with their "morals". Next they will say its wrong to cull the weak en mass to make room for more fit individuals.

Why this over neovim I don’t get it
MrMan··on How Twitter moderated the Covid debate
the explicit mandate of Fox is to spread lies to try to increase division in the US and to weaken the country. it would be weird to complain aobut this if you also want to destroy the country from within
MrMan··on How Twitter moderated the Covid debate
you guys should go somewhere more extreme, this place is too vanilla for you, too many sheeple
MrMan··on The Twitter Files: How Twitter Rigged the Covid Debate
the unvaccinated should absolutely be marginalized. also the idea that we constantly need to "wake up" to some previously hidden reality is a stupid way to look at the world.
MrMan··on 1000s lose power after 3 substations targeted in Washington state, sheriff says
its insurgency and its spreading
MrMan··on Tesla shares tank after U.S. discounts doubled on key models
VW is Audi Porsche Bentley and Lamborghini. I dont know if this ownership is reflected in the stock price of the company listed as VW. Porsche EVs have a better battery performance as measured empirically than Tesla - but they make more modest claims and outperform them, in contrast to Tesla who are essentially lying about battery performance. They are much nicer cars. Porche dealers take care of you very well. Porsche makes very good margin on their cars.
MrMan··on Tesla Market Cap Falls Below $400B
Certainly a possibility
MrMan··on Ask HN: Are there valuable insights from the Twitter files?
I get it - you're just asking questions! we cant trust anyone right?
MrMan··on Blue subscribers should be the only ones that can vote in policy related polls
He is a/b testing ways to make money and to induce people to pay for blue checks or other IAPs. So he thinks if a poll that will get multiple millions of votes and tries to see how high a conversion rate is likely with a highly engaging topic like “how much do you hate me”.

I think he is just trying to find ways to drive people to make these purchases.

MrMan··on 1/4 of companies that IPO'd in 2020-2021 trades below $2, risking delisting
who gets mad about virtue signaling except people who lack virtue
MrMan··on 1/4 of companies that IPO'd in 2020-2021 trades below $2, risking delisting
the companies that make the batteries are tech companies, not the people who snap them together into a wiring harness, arguably
MrMan··on Ask HN: Looking for a Programable Text Editor
emacs is socialist and bad, Neovim is social democrat and good
MrMan··on The asset bubble that’s quietly popping
so many users angrily harkening back to 2008. when does it stop? Paul Volker was also bad, why are we not still complaining about him?
MrMan··on Taking over subreddit with a small GPT-3 army turns out to be surprisingly easy
if I owned a social network I would start trying to differentiate on quality of generated content instead of demonizing automated user agents. I think its definitely a cant beat em join em type scenario

MrMan··on Promotion of alternative social platforms policy
