Money, degrees, and productivity are not metrics of a live well lived. There are metrics such as self-reported happiness, marriage and divorce rates, birth rates, and other things that paint a much fuller picture. You need to figure out what is good for you.
Some advice to other women developers. Take the money from silicon valley, then run to a cheaper place to live. Invest it well, and relax.
ex. Buy a duplex, and rent one part of it out to pay your bills.

I walked around in Philadelphia talking with DNC protestors, during the DNC. Most of them were democrats, who were glad to have evidence of corruption and collusion between the DNC and Media. Most of the protesters I talked with, only had good things to say about wikileaks, and assange.
I think wikileaks knows what they are doing, and are gaining mindshare among the alternative left and right.
A lot of the people I talked to expressed disgust with vox, vice, slate, and salon as becoming establishment not just the washington post.
They talk about call of duty, minecraft, playstation 4 and various ios android games. I asked them if they wanted me to buy them a wii u, and they said no. They wanted a steam gift card instead.
Personally I think Nintendo is losing relevance with the new generation.
However I don't feel the need to own my 3d printer right now though.
The few people who liked it but had to stop, had issues with nausea.
I think we are maybe a generation or two away from a vr explosion.
