Max_aaa··on Your Prize for Saving Time at Work with AI: More Work
The issue here, is that this removes a lot of tasks that allowed a person to relax a little mentally. So now we are working the same hours, but we need to be switched on for much longer during these hours. Could this result in more burnout and mental fatigue?

The question might be simple and verifiable, but it is not a simple for an LLM to mark a particular question as such. This is the tricky part.

An LLM does not care about your question, it is a bunch of math that will spit out a result based on what you typed in.

Max_aaa··on Containers vs. pods – taking a deeper look
I have a dedicated server at home running as an LXC host.

With an LXC client on my laptop I am able to launch instances without using local resources. The instance has profiles setup to add the containers to my local lan for ease of access.

Launching a new machines is only a few commands away.

Studies also seem to show that the trigger mechanism for many of the benefits is caloric restriction and not the fast.

As when fasting we do need to eat at some point.

Max_aaa··on What Happened to Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp?
I know it is not a coverup, just the question that the "world" seems to be asking.

Myself, I would pit to either Technical Issue, or internal sabotage as an act of protest.

Max_aaa··on What Happened to Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp?
Technical issue (most probably the case) or coverup?

It is amazing how far some people go with trying to explain this.

So you basically need access to a cash business for a supply of fresh bills. Also for how long do they keep the serial numbers? After a certain amount of time it is possible for the same bill to enter the machine legitimately.

Cold storage just means that you key is kept offline, but the whole system is on the internet. The central part of crypto is the blockchain, which holds all your assets.

So if someone is able to guess your key, or just happen to find it, or if the encryption has been defeated by a leap in computing or algorithms, they will have access to your crypto without needing to access your key.

We might have been married to the same person... The lying is the kicker.

We had an agreement that the kid will go a certain school, after I bough her half of the house, someone changed their mind. I complied and moved to be in the zone of the new school, then someone changed their mind again. But the 2nd time it is go as court/lawyers sided with me.

I never discuss her with the kid, but I get same tidbits from him as you from your daughter. Children know a good parent, so just do your best. They will love you regardless of what they hear.

The latest thing was her not wanting to handover his medication on handover.

Max_aaa··on Life before smartphones (2020)
That is cunning.

Man, so many similarities with my life. This were only clear once I was out of her sphere of influence and only then I was able to see the manipulation and gas-lighting.

Now she tries to use our child as a manipulation tool, as that is the only aspect of my life that she has any input to.

Max_aaa··on Ask HN: Those who have taken extended time off, any advice?
Took 3 months off. Amazing stay-cation, I already have a laundry list of things that I wanted to do, so I did not have too much time to get board. Great for mental health, as I was getting close to burnout after a number of person live issues.

Now I am just going to be working part time, as I loved the balance that doing non-computer related work gave me. With proper budgeting, and a decent industry you will be surprised how little work one needs to do to live a happy and humble life.

The food is kinda resolved for no-so rich families with services like Hello Fresh, and so on. As you are just left with the Cooking bit, which is actually a bonding experience, as the little ones help with the meal.

And with cleaning, yes, that one is a chore.
