It also might help to avoid insinuating things about strangers online in order to promote discussion and not stifle it.
A couple years later, I was completely burnt without knowing it. I only realized it after talking with others about the not-so-admirable things I had been feeling, something many like myself hesitate to do when trying to grow into the leaders we aspire to be. It was at that point that my situation became clear.
I ended up taking almost two years away from any form of work in order to bring balance back to not only my mind, but my life as well. Suffice it to say this process was not as simple as it sounds.
I implore anyone caught in the “just keep going with everything despite the stress, you’re almost there” mentality to consider what is driving you and if it is healthy for you in the long run. Being healthy and happy, with loved ones abound, is tremendously underrated by types like myself.
I found it funny - in a “how ridiculous/silly” kind of way - that at 4:40 we get to look inside a building by entering through its windows, but here we are in the 21st century with that exact capability. Individuals providing photos and/or footage of the interior of their commercial space does not seem so silly these days.
Perhaps X leadership from Google spoke with Y leadership from China and reached this compromise in order to avoid a potential all-out ban of Google’s services in China, similar to - though nowhere close to the same reasoning behind - the US’ ban of Huawei telecommunications equipment.
PLEASE NOTE that this is purely conjecture. I am not affiliated with Google or China, in any way, shape, or form. This should not be taken as fact.
The necessity of this article is debatable however. As with the majority (all?) of software products (excluding games), there’s often always that “this tool solves a problem we had ourselves” component. A somewhat shallow piece of content marketing is what this appears to be.
However, we may be a ways off from seeing it actually implemented…
> The team says the exact mechanism behind this extreme thermal stability isn't totally clear, but that perhaps bond lengths, angles and oxygen atom positions are changing in concert with one another to preserve the overall volume.
With that said, I am optimistic and very hopeful that answers - and a more elaborate description of its operation and its operational boundaries - are discovered soon. Only then could I see, say, the USAF utilizing this as the “skin” for their latest generation craft, particularly, UAVs or missiles operating at Mach >=5.
> Zerodium customers are government organizations (mainly from Europe and North America) in need of advanced zero-day exploits and cybersecurity capabilities.
Based off Zerodium’s origin and reputation, it seems an exploit is sought which enables a governmental actor to examine information that it otherwise could not. I am assuming they do not have a legal basis for doing so or courts would have granted/ordered such access.
[Unrelated to the core topic] Is anyone else on mobile only seeing the first paragraph? If I open the article on desktop, I see the full article, but on mobile, it simply ends after that paragraph (followed by a featured video about the “dreaded 7-10 split”). There’s no “Continue Reading” (or similar) button/link and no notice that I may have exceeded a monthly limit of “free articles”.
I wish I could do something about this. What can an “ordinary” civilian in the US do to help? Are we limited to electing politicians with the hope they follow through on a potential campaign promise?
A case out of Miami, FL that reached the U.S. Supreme Court is nearly directly applicable [1].

This will not play out well for FL in courts. Just because you can sue someone does not mean that you should, as you can fail and waste taxpayer monies in this scenario. There is a U.S. Supreme Court case out of MIA that is almost directly applicable [1].

A week-long FB outage would surely result in a very interesting study of society’s response and adaptation to said event.
Competition is often the catalyst for the creation of the many innovations that society makes use of. What am I missing here..?
The command line can be daunting until you play with it a bit and I know many web devs try to avoid it as much as possible while working.
*I do understand that Tom Neill created this while bored at home. I also understand that if created via modern methods, this project could have cost him next to nothing, and thus only benefits awaited him. I'd love to learn more.
We've had videos and virtual tours for a long time. I no longer need someone to show me around a physical space.
Making the process of searching for - and hopefully purchasing - your "dream home" as smooth and safe as possible is arguably the best way for these agents to retain their jobs as we enter an age where much of what they do can be automated.
We see this with other games as studios spend more time preparing "future IP" and less time preserving their existing. One example is Bungie's Destiny franchise. Studios need to continue monitoring - and interacting with - their playerbase to find a middle that satisfies all. Bungie made a decision a few months ago that has been reversed, per community feedback about the massively negative impact said decision would have on the game and its playerbase.
Studios like Valve, Bungie, and others truly need to step up what is essentially customer service, especially as the digital entertainment market only continues to grow and open up even more opportunities for success than before.

I am no nuclear arms expert, but based off their nuclear history, I surmise they intended this statement to be somewhat of a scare tactic that rings hollow at the end of the day.
This reads more like a random theory than a newly discovered pattern of behavior from the past.

Pension funds - and similar - can easily be moved to ETFs and other asset classes without the management fees from these funds.
