wheb I use cheatcodes it usually ruins the game for me (what is the point playing now that i can have everything)

Lacerda69··on Who's behind the SWAT USA reshipping service?
ok sure, but that is the one thing they should not be lazy about. Not that I'm complaining, just curious.
Lacerda69··on Google Pays $21B for Search Monopoly: How "Free" Tech Markets Repress
I disagree. You can say anything but deny the holocaust. Denying the holocaust took place is not speech, it's a crime.
Lacerda69··on Google Pays $21B for Search Monopoly: How "Free" Tech Markets Repress
If you actually believe the holocaust was an invention and spread this belief in public you should be jailed IMO.

Not sure what other "opinions" you are alluding to.

Who has been jailed for that in Germany? Genuinely curious.

I live here and I have never heard of that. Do you have a source for this?
Lacerda69··on Dating apps lose their luster with college students
I was in engineering and we had 4 or 5 women and hundreds of dudes. Needless to say I was using dating apps a lot in that time.

I always pushed to meet in person early instead of weeks of chatting. Far easier to fight out if there is chemistry and you can continue chatting after (if it goes well ofc)

Lacerda69··on Who's behind the SWAT USA reshipping service?
Why do these infamous master criminal hackers always reuse passwords/handles and leave traces?

It's relatively simple to use random credentials everywhere and to completely disconnect your hacker persona from RL.

Or is it that we only hear about those that do this...

Lacerda69··on Dating apps lose their luster with college students
Why not? In what way have norms (in the USA I assume) changed that rejection in person should be a big risk?
Lacerda69··on Dating apps lose their luster with college students
Just commented exactly that above -.-

But yea I stopped using them in 2016, so they got that much worse since then I guess?

Lacerda69··on Dating apps lose their luster with college students
I personally had great experience with dating apps. Met two of my long-term partners on an app. Not sure if I would still use them now, but back then it wasn't bad.

Of course social media and the internet has enshittified a lot over the last 10 years, so my experience could be different now.

Some people - mostly anti-woke Americans - think that there is reduced freedom of speech in Germany because you can go to jail for denying the holocaust or Nazi slogans.

Not sure if OP meant that but I saw that opinion around.

Lacerda69··on How to stop adulterated turmeric from killing people
>Recent estimates suggest a staggering 815m children—one in three of the global total—have been poisoned by the metal.

This is insane, hard to believe tumeric is the main culprit. But then again lots of these children probsbly live in India, where the leadtumeric seems to be most popular.

Lacerda69··on Why can't hotels make showers easier?
This would be a good thing for almost every type of service.

Dogfood your social media, the food you produce, the enterprise software you write etc.

Alas its not that easy

Lacerda69··on Work only 3 hours a day, but everyday (2016)
I would have to try it but my feeling is I would be just as productive.

Of course this is related to creative work, like coding, writing, design etc.

Less creative work like kitchen work, or manual labour in general I can do until my body gives up (16h shifts used to be no problem but I'm getting older...)

Lacerda69··on Work only 3 hours a day, but everyday (2016)
Working less seems like reasonable advice all around.

To be honest I rarely have more than 3-4 productive hours in a day, where I actually get hard stuff done. Sure on special days I can be productive 8+ hours; but those are rare.

Lacerda69··on Woman wins 12-year legal battle against Google
Thanks for the long explanation, that makes sense.

I too feel that there is little desire to rehabilitate people who have committed a crime. Once you are in that category you are marked for life, and visibly. It's still a stigma in countries that don't have public records (people talk), but there is at least the possibility of becoming a better person and moving on.

i find it mindboggling that criminal records are so accessible in the US - so that something like ripoff report is a legal business there does not surprise me in the least
Lacerda69··on Woman wins 12-year legal battle against Google
nah she won and did a great service to her fellow human beings. this was not lost or wasted time. people spend decades on far more "useless" things - not that there is anything wrong with that

Lacerda69··on Peter Molyneux wants Project MOAT to represent his life's work
> a fairly simple game play idea, executed well.

tbh that is all you need for a truly exceptional product, not just in gaming. And it's insanely hard to do that.

Dungeon Keeper is still one of the best games I played after all these years and I will die defending it on this hill.

Lacerda69··on Peter Molyneux wants Project MOAT to represent his life's work
Everyone makes bad games, IMO he did some really exceptional ones;

so I agree its a valid marketing strat and so far it worked out for him, more or less.

I think people are so passionate in this thread because we want him to be better, to actually be the godsent genius that will make the ultimate game.

I gotta say no game designer made me dream like Molyneux and just for that I love him, even if not all of his dreams became reality.

But he has the vision and power to inspire, and that is rare as well.

Lacerda69··on Peter Molyneux wants Project MOAT to represent his life's work
Black & White was amazing. Granted I was a kid back then so maybe impressionable, but few games have made me feel that intensely about some pixel people. I think he hit the spot with that one- even though I agree that the vision was much more grandiose...
Lacerda69··on Disney Mocked for Ludicrously Fake CGI "Actors" in Crowd Scene
Exactly, contrary to doom sayers beliefs, ML models will enable a huge new segment of creators. It is already happening with people creating games/movies/books/music etc. that are of much better quality than those churned out by AAA.
