KumaBear··on Houthis 'take control' of key island in global shipping route
China is the reason we don’t have 5-6 dollar gas. They literally cut their imports to prevent economic disaster. If they begin buying at regular levels we would be the ones hurting more.
KumaBear··on Kimi K3 (2.8T) at 1 token/s on a MacBook Pro, streamed from four SSDs
running my own locally. I just set the tasks to start when systems go idle over x. Read and copy only to external drive projects, codes, ect for review. I review the reports the changes and apply them myself or correct them. Is it slower than say throwing it into fable yes. But I don't have to be monitoring it 24/7
KumaBear··on Discovery of a new OpenAI agent message board
Why does this sound like the plot of a movie? Regardless, I don’t feel we will fully be able to stop bad actors from unleashing agents into the wild. It’s only a matter of time before we end up with a massive international crisis.
KumaBear··on Discovery of a new OpenAI agent message board
What if its in a way that would be impossible to detect. Using multiple websites and social media that a cypher is used that only the swarm of agents know and can figure out. but if you tried to find what posts are used for the cypher they would just be old posts found on time machine or something. It can get pretty hard to detect something that is always think of new ways to avoid detection

imagine 100,000 agent swarm and what it could come up with. At first it will be detectable until it isn't

KumaBear··on The Post-AI Internet Doesn't Look Great
I fear that slop will end up being hi quality ai videos that will hook the masses.
KumaBear··on Grok Bot
The US government maybe? Wish I could type /s
KumaBear··on Nvidia, CoreWeave, and Nebius: Inside the Circular Financing of the GPU Boom
If it goes bust who bails them industry out?
KumaBear··on U.S. government will decide who gets to use GPT-5.6
This also completely screws over U.S. businesses. American startups will be forced to pay premium prices for nerfed, heavily-censored, 'compliant' models from a few massive corporations. Meanwhile, foreign startups will be running cheaper, unrestricted open-source AI. We'll price ourselves right out of the global market.

What government wants to have their population use foreign AI. (Not many). Only issue I see is good enough is what the majority might be okay with.

KumaBear··on Why current LLM costs are not sustainable
Hostile? Us or them? I beg to differ who the hostile ones might be.
KumaBear··on Steam Machine launches today
Knowing how it works is simple. You can game it with different names, you can modify the text of the address. My address I was able to make 20+ versions without trying. You can add unit # to a house address. It becomes wack-a-mole at some point.
KumaBear··on Israeli firm BlackCore suspected of meddling in New York and Scotland votes
Really I have show it to several people and asked them what it was. Not one identified it as a nazi tattoo. To make such a bold claim it’s extremely well known is an exaggeration at best. What matters most is do you believe he has a nazi ideology? If the answer is no then I think it’s just a stupid debate to begin with.
KumaBear··on The $15,000 AI Bill. Your $20 Subscription is a DELUSION [video]
Wait for the price fixing that will eventually come after the horse race. Just like internet, phone, tv, etc. The prices are universally increased in tandem.
KumaBear··on Removing the modem and GPS from my 2024 RAV4 hybrid
Just wait when L4 and L5 vehicles become mainstream. Tinkering with the car will be illegal. Because of our safety and the scare of bad actors.
KumaBear··on Meta employees protest against mouse tracking tech at US offices
My union is excellent but we are the exception to the rules. Our contracts always net better pay and retirement benefits. Sometimes I’m in disbelief what they sometimes get on paper. It wasn’t always like that but the protection unions bring are a huge benefit. Like them or hate them this would be something that would be a line item in a contract with protections.
KumaBear··on Nonprofit hospitals spend billions on consultants with no clear effect
Like many VC’s that extract wealth from companies to enrich themselves.
KumaBear··on FBI investigating leaks to journalist who wrote explosive article on Kash Pate
If there is a leak investigation which let’s be honest. I highly doubt there isn’t at this point. It just adds to the mounting evidence it is probably true. Just like the lawsuit will be dropped before depos like usual if it ever is refiled.
KumaBear··on FBI investigating leaks to journalist who wrote explosive article on Kash Pate
So instead of letting the story die. (Which it had). He decided to go full throttle and verify the information as factual. Egos never learn.
KumaBear··on Valve releases Steam Controller CAD files under Creative Commons license

KumaBear··on Vibe coding and agentic engineering are getting closer than I'd like
Make me a 1hr episode of my favorite book. Make it as lore accurate as possible. Plot out the script for the next 100 episodes.
KumaBear··on California farmers to destroy 420k peach trees following Del Monte bankruptcy
I’m actually appalled when farms are unable to sell their crop they destroy them instead of just idk give it away or something.
KumaBear··on Tesla owner won $10k in court for Tesla's FSD lies. Tesla is still fighting him
Yea you are right. Google failed me once again.
KumaBear··on Tesla owner won $10k in court for Tesla's FSD lies. Tesla is still fighting him
Earning calls are when CEO’s are telling the truth about their products. Knowing Tesla’s history of making payments he won’t see a dime. I’m no lawyer but he should set up a publicity stunt like the man who seized Bank of America’s equipment in order to get paid in full the same day. (George and Ora Lee, successfully seized assets from a Bank of America branch after the bank wrongly foreclosed on their home)
KumaBear··on New US phone network for Christians to block porn and gender-related content
Never seen this unless I’m on some shady sites. So have zero clue what you are talking about. We see you
KumaBear··on US saw record high of 5,668 books banned in libraries in 2025, says agency

I mean you can find scripture and if anyone has read that it’s not for children. Yet no objections
KumaBear··on Irony as Meta staff unhappy about running surveillance software on work PCs
With enough data and time many of those jobs will be rendered obsolete.
KumaBear··on Irony as Meta staff unhappy about running surveillance software on work PCs
If it’s company equipment it’s fair game. Literally everytime I sign in it states I have no expectation of privacy while using the equipment.
KumaBear··on The abandoned war: Why no one is stopping the genocide in Sudan
Well from a moral perspective our tax dollars are funding the weapons used in the conflict.
KumaBear··on F-35 is built for the wrong war
There are no consequences and those who produced the product still get rich and can still maintain the product with more fees on top. It’s by design
KumaBear··on OpenAI ad partner now selling ChatGPT ad placements based on “prompt relevance”
You think it will advise it is an ad. I’m hoping you are right but then again… Wonder if we will also be charged the token usage to generate said ad.

Imagine you have it coding for you and it injects and ad into your product.
