Sodium is a mod for Minecraft that dramatically optimises the rendering stack, making the game playable on lower-end systems, even moreso with this update.
On the surface level this seems good. The current Android-on-PC landscape is pretty bleak; your choices boil down to spyware/adware emulators (Mumu, Bluestacks, LDPlayer etc) or Windows Subsystem for Android, which forced me to either use the Amazon Appstore or sideload through the terminal last I tried it.
Looks like my account isn't eligible for the beta yet, presumably it's a slow rollout.
I find it very funny that the site scrapes Twitter to detect user complaints of downtime, so when Twitter is down there's going to be less downtime reports than usual
As a side note, not sure if it's just me, but I feel a sort of "tip jar effect" with projects that have no open PRs/issues. I feel like I'd be far less willing to submit one if there's no others there. Like all eyes would be on me if I were to do so. Something about adding your issue to the pile just feels a little more welcoming. Just me?
Oh, and most code editors I'm aware of will switch out the whole-word functionality of Ctrl/Double-click with whole-syntax-element, if that's more your thing
Could just make them inactive for a while, but still registered.
Stop sending notifications to watchers, and replace the repo in the stargazer's starred list with a "The following starred repos are currently private and cannot be viewed:" and make the stars be remove-only for a while.
From what I very briefly read, apparently their server hardware broke and they didn't have the funds to repair everything at once? Was quite shocked when I first saw it was down.
It's a whole thing. People buy verified channels, rebrand into some easy-to-recognise username/avatar, and take advantage of this phenomenon (?) to boost their numbers with so much attention due to posting wholesome comments and always being at the top of the comments list. MrBeast's comments sections are a great example of this. Nothing but verified accounts with short names posting copy/pasted compliments with too many likes.
The strangest part about this is that it can still be moved with a Registry edit. So the functionality's still there, Microsoft just removed the toggle button for it. Very odd
Same. I couldn't imagine using the official app or new site consistently. Everything Reddit has created in the last 5 years or so has, without fail, been a huge downgrade from whatever it replaced.
To add to this, it'd be nice to have each page with multiple Ys, so you could choose how in-depth you want to go. That's a big ask, though, and it's more of a hypothetical than an actual request
THAT'S why they don't work? I've been having issues with Harmonic recently, and recently started using a mobile VPN. Will have to test this, just assumed the HN API was being dumb
Not only attractive girls, but attractive guys too! The majority of my Genshin-playing friends are female, for what it's worth. I'm sure that's definitely helped them, as many similar games are solely marketed towards teen guys. Big gap in the market, and they took it.
I wonder if there'd then be a worse penalty if police were to discover you were doing this, were the wipe timer not to trigger, and if that'd be worth the risk. Definitely an interesting idea, though
Its big thing originally was being a 64-bit port of Firefox. I assume it's still based on Firefox in some way, based on the name, but not really sure what it brings to the table anymore, besides some minor stuff you can already get with extensions.
