JamesDB··on Ask HN: What do you guys use for wireframing?
Google Docs Drawing tool

Very simple and quick to throw up some ideas

JamesDB··on Ask HN: What constitutes a startup?
Why millions of users? Few B2B startup have millions of users.

Likewise it doesn't necessarily need millions in revenue to be successful. Many exits have come from zero revenue.

JamesDB··on Free 60-minute 'How to Build a Startup' video series
Interesting thoughts there. The audio is what matters though, rather than the video, would be nice if you added them to the Think Vitamin podcast (if you're not planning on doing so already).
JamesDB··on Angry Birds on Chrome
Very laggy/jumpy for me.

Plus that damn music keeps playing, even though after I closed the tab with it in!

JamesDB··on Rate my startup: www.askforadeal.com
good concept, agree the logos at the bottom cheapen the site. Perhaps have them in greyscale as well, most would recognise those logos without the colours
JamesDB··on Top 20 Wireframe Tools
Google Docs Drawings is pretty good too for real simple wireframes. Easy to use and share, can see changes made to it by others.
JamesDB··on Ask HN: Who is Hiring? (May 2011)
Yes

JamesDB··on Ask HN: Examples of Great UX?
This blog showcases some awesome little UI features - http://littlebigdetails.com/
JamesDB··on Ask HN: Co-working "nerd-space" in London, UK?
Could take a look at TechHub and WhiteBearYard, I think they both do shared working space:

JamesDB··on Google rolls out algorithm change in the US
How will this impact sites like Rotten Tomatoes?

They have little original content, but are still a useful source.

JamesDB··on What to expect if your startup is featured on the front page of Hacker News
How many uniques did it send?
JamesDB··on Ask HN: Do you know Photoshop?
Yeah, do it!
JamesDB··on Ask HN: Do you know Photoshop?
I know the basics for mocking up a website.
JamesDB··on Please rate my startup (again)
Sorry but it's appalling.

I went to the site before reading what you explained the site does, and left it almost immediately.

It comes across as spammy and complete information overload.

Hire a designer, or get a friend at least, just to make some visuals for it. It'll be well worth the money. It needs serious work.

JamesDB··on Ask HN/Google: should Google link to hotel sites instead of aggregator sites?
Aggregators provide a lot of use.

Gives an instant overview of the hotels prices and ratings. It would take a long time to research just that basic information for say 10 hotels in an area.

JamesDB··on Ask HN: What's your favorite bookmarked HN thread?
Cheers for that. Hadn't seen that before.
JamesDB··on Waking up at 5am, my nearly 1 year review
Doesn't his girlfriend get seriously pissed off with him getting up at 5am and waking her up?
JamesDB··on Woopra: Real time web analytics
Not easy on the Woopra site to find out plans or pricing.
JamesDB··on Impossible for the HN crowd: Do nothing for 2 minutes
If you have two monitors just have Tweetdeck open on the other! Easy.
JamesDB··on Ask HN: Best Use for Spare Domain Names
May as well list them here. Could find a taker.
JamesDB··on Ask HN: Please review my startup: TheSunnyTrail
Yes I think it's important. Nice to see the people behind a site, so it's not just a faceless organisation.
JamesDB··on The Art of SEO
It's a good book to use as reference. Such as should I do x or y. Easy to read, and with well explained examples.

Great book to sit along with Web Analytics 2.0.

JamesDB··on Poll: How long is your typical visit to HN?
Same way I do it. Too much good stuff to distract from work otherwise.
JamesDB··on I launched 06-10 and constantly feel helpless and lost. What advice do you have?
Are people responding well to it in forums? Do you find users promote it among friends?
JamesDB··on I launched 06-10 and constantly feel helpless and lost. What advice do you have?
What kind of visitor numbers/member numbers are you getting? Do you know where people are finding the site?
JamesDB··on I launched 06-10 and constantly feel helpless and lost. What advice do you have?
Perhaps one that you can take notes/leave reviews on without being connected to the internet. These will then sync when next connected to wifi (like evernote does)

Data romaing charges abroad are massive, and your target audience are travellers.

JamesDB··on Ask HN: Review my side project
Really smart site design. Looks really professional.

Perhaps remove any doubt about spamminess (a word?!) by putting a telephone number for people to ring. Might increase conversions slightly.

JamesDB··on Blekko already has a list of domains to block from results
A site in the UK that gets a huge amount of traffic and is backed by a large off-line national advertising campaign. Why has this been banned? Never seen spam on there, nor have seen them spamming.
JamesDB··on [dead]
I'm a bit confused. I only see a Google text ad. Plus there are 339 likes, not 1200?

How come you haven't got a tweet this button?

Nice simple concept though!
