I guess I’ll just reverse engineer it myself. Good to know it is possible since I can replace the app.
That said, the appeal of EV-only and adaptive cruise control means I drive more calmly. Most of the time.
Just need to get a Comma 3X running on this and I’ll be set!
I really like Mazda and I’m glad they exist to push things like the rotary. Maybe I’ll consider the RX-9 as a fun vehicle.
I want EVs to succeed but they simply don’t make sense for all use cases yet. But they don’t have to. Maybe I’ll get an EV to replace the TSX if it ever dies.
But, Mazdas are great cars. I wouldn’t sleep on them.
To this day, I still do not understand why they love Databricks so much. It just looks like a Jupyter notebook to me. I know, it has Spark. So?
I’m trying to learn more so I can build something better, maybe.
Writing about my journey to $1B in 10 years as an engineer. Hope to guide others on their own journey, documenting every success and failure. It’s ambitious, but if anyone can do it, it’s me.
I have alcohol in the house. I'll occasionally grab a beer to have with BBQ in the summer. I don't have a need to limit myself; I'm good after 1.
I enjoy alcohol in social situations. I don't have a problem stopping after 1 because that's all I need to feel satiated, and I can go months until my next drink.
Alcohol during my university years? Yeah, I took it too far a few times.
Coffee? Different story altogether!
Is it just me? Am I the weirdo?
I owe my entire career to HN.
Glad to see you leading this, incredible work and nice to see the positive reception.
Acquisitions != health
I guess I was wrong.
All the more reason to get GPT-J running on my GPU.
I'm currently knee-deep in the enterprise world, and trust me, the point about selling into these orgs is very true. My team just spent the last year moving our client off a Salesforce Lightning-based solution onto our custom-built one. No one in the org could tell us why they chose to build it in Lightning, but everyone now says they love our solution.
The lessons you learn building a startup are good and always usable, but you need to be ready to learn what it's like to work in and with an enterprise, to figure out how to adapt and sell your product to them. It's an arduous process, but worthwhile.
I take 2 tablets of 1000 IU per day, alongside a magnesium citrate tablet. What am I missing? You're not taking 30 tablets a day are you?
Managed to fulfill the 747. La Musée had an A380 on the tarmac too, but not open to walk through.
Honestly, for aviation geeks, it's a worthwhile visit for the 747 and Concordes alone.
1. Was the intern that coded the mechanism to open/close the LIDAR cover on the Mars Phoenix Lander, so it runs on another planet. I also did circuit work, and other tasks for the CSA’s contribution to that mission. That was also the internship where I (re)met my wife.
2. Was on the Android team that brought video to Instagram back in 2013. We brought gyro stabilization to the iPhone, couldn’t quite get it running reliably on Android via the NDK, but I damned well tried.
3. Wrote the first Android app for Instacart.
4. Currently rolling out our new software platform to handle $15B/year revenue for Anheuser-Busch’s supply chain. We have 1000+ companies relying on us to ensure they can order and fulfill products.
Unsure what’s next, but it’ll likely be high impact and fun too.
Money is our economy’s way of rewarding those of us with outsized skills. It’s far from perfect, but it’s the best we’ve got. Is Tesla and Elon the best place to put that $465m? Maybe, maybe not. But it was the best we had at the time, and I certainly don’t see anyone better than him now.
It is not a sin to enlist the help of others to achieve your goals.
