GameOfFrowns··on Tell HN: DEI initiatives undermine the self esteem of PoC within a company
>having no real shot at success in America other than selling his body.

Selling his body? Are you serious?

He wouldn't have been able to become a cop, a nurse, a clerk, a financial professional or any of the other thousands of professions that black people in the midwest find themselves in?

LeBron's struggles seem less part of his success story and more part of a self-penned "rags to riches" legend.

Often enough[0] (it's questionable if the Mueller probe would have even happened without Clinton & Democratic Party clamoring for it) and the last time just a month ago:

>I sincerely doubt they would be using public ADS-B ported to a Twitter account to track you around.

Why not, when it's convenient? It's probably not impossible to get a Stinger missile or similar from one of the current war theaters or black markets.

GameOfFrowns··on I gave ChatGPT the 117 question, eight dimensional PolitiScales test
>From a european perspective, GPT is right at the center of the political spectrum.

From a European perspective many talking points and political efforts of the Democratic party are certainly extremely left-wing. In fact, many of the European left-wing parties crudely import talking points on internal US issues, like for instance Black Lives Matter. Also, why would a "slightly rightwing party" push for anti-white CRT in schools, sex transitioning of children, abortions and mass immigration?

Can you explain what you are referring to? What has contrasting the military capabilities of Germany and Israel have to do with the subject of the article?
GameOfFrowns··on Jewish revenge after the Holocaust: How one group plotted to kill millions
Didn't stop them from executing the Nakba against the inhabitants of Palestine already in 1948[0].

On top of that, the irony of poisoning the water supply is thick, since Jews had been accused of poisoning wells for hundreds of years at that point[1].

>i do wonder how easy/hard it really is to reverse engineer a vaccine

I think it's easier to gain this information via hacking and data theft or paying insiders for documents than actually reversing the vaccine.

GameOfFrowns··on China state CCTV avoids crowd close ups at the World Cup
You'd think that with China's cavalier attitude towards intellectual property and trade secrets they would just copy one of the more effective mRNA vaccines and distribute it under the current Sinovax label.
GameOfFrowns··on Can Tokyo’s charms be replicated elsewhere?

I'd argue that Mumbai/India or Lagos/Nigeria are overwhelmingly racially homogeneous. So there must be some additional factor beyond racial homogeneity.

>I know it's associated with being politically on the left, but personally, as a left-winger in a more traditional (class-based, economic) sense, I am baffled as to how it's been quietly switched to all this woke gibberish. I certainly didn't see it coming.

The word on the street is that this has been pushed by the people who control Wall Street and mainstream media to subvert the Occupy Wall Street movement and the class war momentum it was gaining before and in 2011.

GameOfFrowns··on The sinister attempts to ‘decolonise’ mathematics
The same semantic Motte-and-bailey[0] game is being played in other languages too. In Germany, the job of the "Gleichstellungsbeauftragte" (equity officer, also almost exclusively women) isn't to further "Gleichberechtigung" (equality) but to do the opposite while making it sound fair and unassailable.

Like you I was suprised by the amount of negative reception but I can sympathize with most of these people. The company failed at properly communicating their vision and USP regarding the experiences, hopes and fears of their target audience and animated checkbox diversity pictures on the website don't cut it.

I can't (and honestly don't want to) calculate the amount of late fees and forgotten continuing subscriptions I had to pay for over my lifetime. The advertised service seems comparatively expensive and not exactly scalable without the company cutting corners (3rd world call centers) or raising prices soon.

GameOfFrowns··on Employee gift ideas that make people feel bad
I like your theory and it puts into words this nagging feeling about gift-giving (material or immaterial) which I had for years.

I love making gifts to people, without expecting anything in return, but still wondered why it sometimes seemed to drive people away. That's why the "Law of Reciprocity"[0][1] never sat right with me while I experienced more personal anecdotal evidence for the reverse phenomenon [2].
