Frye··on Kroger acknowledges that its bet on robotics went too far
Implying that Kroger announced that it would shut down its Florida operations shortly after losing the lawsuit with the cyclist. Nothing more.

Here is the story

Frye··on Kroger acknowledges that its bet on robotics went too far
Also worth mentioning Kroger just lost a multi million dollar lawsuit in Florida after one of their delivery trucks hit a cyclist. I wonder if this has anything to do with it as well.
Frye··on How hard should I push myself?
At least in my own experience, when I do not do things consistently, real long-term progress is difficult to achieve. And that is what makes me obsess over things like OP.
Frye··on Can an extreme low carb diet be used as medicine?
My dog Toby was recently diagnosed with stage 2 splenic hemangiosarcoma and given 30-60 days. Opting against doxorubicin chemo we are working with the Keto Pet Sanctuary to make a new diet and hopefully start HBOT soon.
Frye··on The World's First 20-Hour Airline Flight
I grew up flying from San Diego to Singapore and learned by watching others to get up, walk around, and stretch. I recently took Southwest's 6 hour flight to Maui and the flight attendants made an announcement discouraging "aisle aerobics". I guess on their tiny single aisle 737s it causes too much congestion.

For now it may be just noise, but the ransoms are quickly getting bigger and bigger. Last month I facilitated the payment of 3 BTC to decrypt the files.
Frye··on What It's Like to View a SpaceX Falcon Heavy Launch
I watched shuttle and FH launches from the same area on KSC. The power and noise from shuttle was insane. FH was similar but much more timid.

Frye··on Whats thw crazyest thing ur goats have eaten? (2012)
I agree. I can also only imagine the kind of responses you’d get today by posting your goat ate Walmart bags and headphones. Animals get in to things and it is a part of life. We try our best to minimize it but it still happens and it was refreshing that people in this thread were sharing similar experiences rather than judging and blaming the owners.
Frye··on Dead sperm whale found in Indonesia had ingested '6kg of plastic'
Are there any clean up projects going on at the major gyres shown in the article? Seems like that would be a good place to start.

Frye··on Show HN: An extension to turn your LinkedIn into a resume
My girlfriend is a recruiter and spends a good amount of time formatting resumes of her clients. When I saw this I figured it would be a dream come true for her and anyone in her industry. Unfortunately resumes she submits have to follow a template created by her company.

Do you have any future plans to allow customizable resume templates?

Frye··on Cinemark announces $8.99/mo. subscription to fill more seats, take on MoviePass
It has been out for like 3 minutes and the price has already gone from $6.95/month to $8.99/month to $9.95/month.
Frye··on Formula 1 e-sports now more exciting than the real thing
Yup. Nothing exciting to see here.
Frye··on Amazon Cloud Cam Indoor Security Camera
To me the thing that sets Nest cameras apart from the rest is the software. I am curious to see how Amazon did it.

Yes if you can make this work stick with it. 19 years is a long time you've probably paid off their mortgage by now!

Over here in the States your rent increases just about every time you renew your lease.

Yup this sucks compared to other credit cards, and is the equivalent of calling and getting a new card number every few months which is free.
