The core issue for many, myself included, is not about asking a search engine to make "geopolitical judgments" in its search rankings. Rather, it's a question of corporate ethics in selecting business partners. The decision of which companies to partner with and fund is inherently separate from the algorithm that ranks search results.
Content creators deserve to be paid, even if you don't watch them often.
Or, maybe vote with your viewership and don't watch content creators that have sponsored segments.
I find this hard to believe. How do you even measure for this?
I'd love to see a few more examples of searches you are making that show spam, because the example you gave provided me with the appropriate results. I almost suspect you are either being disingenuous or just have some malware on your computer.
If this is true, Sonos needs to be punished for such behavior. They clearly abused the patent system for their benefit, I'm surprised this wasn't brought up during the initial trial. Maybe it was, but I don't recall anyone discussing it.
Why should I trust her reporting? She gave us zero evidence.
How about they actually provide some evidence before making such claims?
There is zero evidence for what they are accusing Google of doing.
But, I feel like the novelty has worn off.
Well there is bard that is available in many locations.
...and if you want APIs there is a plethora of them on GCP.
I think Google has realized Open AI's ChatGPT is its own product and not a direct competitor to Search, although there is some overlap, which is why there is Bard as a direct competitive product to ChatGPT.
Search is its own beast, and I suspect they have the data to prove users want something different from a Google search.
> OpenAI has a tremendous lead in terms of quality of the product and adoption > On top of that, thousands of new models and projects are coming out almost every day that are starting to rival the quality of GPT as well as coming up with amazing, completely new things
I've read ChatGPT growth has already flattened [0]. Sure thousands of new models/projects are coming out, but until the general public starts to use them I don't see this as much of a threat to Google.

The person simply wanted the JSON outputted without the canned response "Sure, here you go..."
White-culture? I'm really not sure how you can come to such a conclusion based on the video posted.
> I wish they could just showcase the technology with some upbeat music and let the tech speak for itself.
That's most of the video already. Although I admit there is a ton of bolded text statements popping up that I'm not a fan of...
The market is reacting to Cloud turning a profit for the first time, and faster than expected.
What data do you have to back this up?
From my own experience GPT-4 hallucinates quite a bit, enough to make it unusable for my use cases.
The amount of fatigue I get having to determine if what they tell me are fact is just too much.
I'm sure someone will tell me my experience should be similar with generic web search, but at least I'm in control of what websites to read through to determine sources.
However, I'll agree with most that state it is helpful for creative purposes, or perhaps with coding.
What makes the answer from ChatGPT better?
If any tech leader sent such a ridiculous msg during layoffs they would face the same scrutiny.
When I was employed at Morgan Stanley they told us not to discuss our salaries or else we will get fired. I wish I had the balls to report them while I was there.
"Epic is accusing Activision Blizzard’s partner Google of paying us not to compete with them.
To be clear: that's false.
Google never asked us, pressured us, or made us agree not to compete with them - and we’ve already submitted documents and testimony disproving this nonsense."
