People rely on the aid and have babies, if the aid wasn't there they'd either not have babies that they couldn't provide for or die.
Probably the best thing to do is stop all involvement in those countries and let them find a natural equilibrium, but that can't happen because all the western countries want the rich resources in those places so they create this vicious cycle.
People aren't forced to use Google, and Google can show you what they like. Is that the real issue, that they were saying they treated all companies fairly but didn't?
A private company owned by the very people who apparently did the breach. Dmitri Alperovitc is Russian and owns Crowdstrike, the company that did the 'investigation'.
I'm not saying they did it, and honestly I don't care one way or the other but hiring the people who (allegedly) hacked you to find out who hacked you is the epitome of stupidity.
Going by what we see of the FBI they absolutely reek of incompetence, paying $1 million to unlock an iPhone is another example!

Could you elaborate? It seems pretty obvious that you can. No child labour, minimum wage laws, equal rights etc.
If you're not earning enough then that should be enough of a red flag for you to stop right then and there. You don't keep trucking on till you lose your home and are living in your car!
You go, well this isn't working out, maybe I'll quit Uber and go back to what I was doing before, before I lose my house! Even with an Uber lease, just default on it, tell them you moved (so repo men can't find you), and then take care of it later on if you want too when you have more money.
What would I do personally? I would never place myself into a situation like that to start with, but if I were then I would re-skill and find a job that wouldn't have me living in my car!
I'm not a fan of Uber but these people are doing it to themselves, no-ones holding a gun to their head. They need to stop blaming Uber, take responsibility for their own lives and do something else!
If you're working a job and you know it's going to make you homeless why would you continue? I really have a hard time understanding why people would intentionally do that to themselves.
In part Twitter is successful because it allows bots. They make a huge percentage of their userbase. If they cracked down on them, they'd wipe out millions of 'users' and their value would go down.
It also depends on the kind of bots you mean, spam bots should definitely be stopped. But allowing users to post through a bot or an api is great but only for big sites, if you have people automatically posting on a small site it kills user engagement.
> 'is it possible to run a successful social site without that'
It definitely is, the number one reason most social sites fail is that they try to micro-manage their users and the owners think the site will run itself.
Bots and third party tools have a place but only when you have a decent sized site and active community, but they're not necessary.
Are all people equal? No. Should all people be treated equally? Of course. That's the distinction a lot of these people don't make, the article is all 'yap, yap yap' and very light on facts.
I was sympathising with him up until that point!
Is the software too large for the developers to have a handle on how to develop for it properly? Politics? People not caring and just putting in their 9-5?
Why is it not tested properly? As in setting up a local site and making sure everything works properly before endangering lives.
Frankly it sounds like laziness though, it's not that difficult or onerous to read papers and follow citation trails!
I wouldn't let it stop you, just because someone had an idea first doesn't mean you can't do it better.
They don't understand what they're reading, so instead of asking for an explanation, they attack the lowest hanging fruit (the 'lol').
It's just a form of position signalling, basically they assume everyone else understands it and they want to be in that 'in-group', so they try and look smart by tearing it down by attacking nothings.
There's also control, if you outsource your whole project then why do your workers even need you? They could just do it themselves and cut you out completely.
A 'debit' card is money you do have, and you don't need a bank account for some of those, for example you can get 'pre-paid' cards, you top them up with paper money then spend them wherever.
There's also bitcoins and all the other digital currencies you can use, I think some places even have Bitcoin ATMS now.
It's a lesson that'll serve him well for the rest of his life.
It doesn't matter that you've changed your name or IP address. It's what you're asking, it's very specific and is more than enough to identify you should your boss stumble on this, it might be worth considering deleting this thread if that's a real concern.
