A local ice cream parlor isn't making ice cream on the fly.
They are scooping it from premade buckets stored in special freezer cases during business hours and stored in walking freezers at close.

My car sits for so long, yard debris collects around the tires.

Not everyone's social media experience is the same.
The author was participating in the noise, stuck in the culture of substance abuse.
Their experience is that this is the only experience.
To the most casual observer this is clearly untrue.

Anyone paying attention to the science on social media is aware there are people stuck in this cycle.
It's cool that this person woke to it but there is nothing larger here and there is no indication their habits are going to change longer term. They are determined to continue to participate in something they admit harms them.
There is no evidence that employers have been trying to keep pace. There is ample evidence that they have tried to suppress wages.
For decades what they are calling 'keeping pace' has been performed by knocking the legs out of their employees.

Vegan's are measurably weaker.
Children raised on a vegan diet have worse heart health, weaker bone structure and a shorter stature.
There is an evolutionary reason we're omnivores.
Veganism is a religious belief and rightly has no place in these conversations.
Fixing them would be trivial.
"Yeah but it works" is not engineering.
