ChadNYC··on Arrest made in SF killing of Bob Lee – alleged killer also worked in tech
His intuition is supported by sober experience and understanding of the data. Equating that to your intuition is exactly why so many folks here(and on twitter) got this wrong.
ChadNYC··on Blockbuster Video's website is suddenly active again
They had kiosks and a dvd by mail service. I think the kiosk business ultimately sold to Redbox.
ChadNYC··on Ask HN: Something you’ve done your whole life that you realized is wrong?
Interesting. I suffered from canker sores into my early 20's. Finally talked to a Dr, who sent me to a nutritionist. The problem for me was orange juice. I've never been sure what exactly it is in OJ that caused the problem. But I do know that if I drink a glass of processed orange juice today, I'll wake up with a bad canker sore in 2-3 days. If I drink a glass of fresh orange juice for a few days in a row, I'll get the canker sores.
ChadNYC··on Congress passes legislation to end US participation in global shark fin trade
Check out what happens in gestation crates.

Both finning and factory farming are horrific. We don’t need to compare them.

ChadNYC··on Beyond Meat is struggling, and the plant-based meat industry worries
This is a bit old, but it thoroughly examines why the livestock industry is not sustainable.

To add to your point, the affect of the amount of animals bred into existence coupled with how they are treated is devastating the environment.

ChadNYC··on Ask HN: Who isn't in the software industry/not a hacker?
I'm a Registered Architect working on Hudson Yards, the largest private real estate development in the history of the United States. I've wanted to be an Architect for as long as I can remember.

I write software(originally PC based and now web based) to make my life easier. I started coding Basic at a very young age. It came naturally to me. I took a C++ class in high school, but aside from that I'm completely self taught.

I'm here because I'm fascinated by the industry and the people. You can't get a better cross section of what is happening in this industry then on this site.

Also, maybe one day I'll develop a product that is useful to me and useful to others. So having some background on start-ups could help, right?

ChadNYC··on Show HN: Pick a better background pattern for your website
Absolutely fantastic. Thanks for taking the time to develop.
ChadNYC··on Poll: Should we push the YC deadline back by a day because of the storm?

I would say yes.

ChadNYC··on Show HN: I am building a next-gen browser
After reading all of the comments on this post I think I finally understand what you are setting out to achieve. I am intrigued by the ideas of "multiple identities" and keeping control of identity related data by storing it on my computer rather then the websites server but, in your initial post, that wasn't very clear. The follow up post cleared it up some, but not much.

Additionally, I think it would be best to focus on these issues rather then any UX or UI changes. What you've presented isn't game changing enough and, as you can see below, most people are indifferent to it.

All of that said, I am certainly interested in being a part of this project. I'll contact you for more information.
