BradyDale··on Ask HN: What are your favorite RSS feeds?
I wish RSS still excited people, but then again this is just like basically asking what's your favorite site.
BradyDale··on Show HN: FastFeed RSS Reader
I love all things RSS but I don't get it. What is this thing aiming to do?
BradyDale··on On Trouser Pockets
oh for goodness sake -- there is no community on earth that doesn't have rules about "fashion" You think low income people don't? Try wearing a skinny tie and cufflinks to a honkytonk in Oklahoma and see what happens.
BradyDale··on On Trouser Pockets
I like these. They are cool. They are definitely not cargo pants. Neat solution with the angled pocket.

Sadly tho the world has ended and no one will ever need office slacks again.

BradyDale··on Amazon's Complicity in the Facebook-Cambridge Analytics Scandal
Late in the story if you didn’t make it Turkers report seeing TOS violations like this on a regular basis and no clarity from Amazon about if and how it takes action It seems clear that the TOS violations haven’t stopped so Amazon isn’t doing a great job stopping it.
BradyDale··on Seriously, is Netflix cooking up its own cloud service for huge files?
I get this (mostly) but it also seems like there could be a larger plan

The company is going to need another new vertical to keep getting bigger. It's got a LOT of competitors out there now in the VOD space.

BradyDale··on Uncensorable Wikipedia on IPFS
Thanks for sharing this... FWIW, I wrote a story about it on Observer.com http://observer.com/2017/05/turkey-wikipedia-ipfs/
BradyDale··on The Perks Are Great, Just Don’t Ask What We Do
I got the impression it's just super fun. We're doing ad syndication! We sell space on websites! We have an innovative peer disruption space sorting alorithm optimizer!
BradyDale··on The Perks Are Great, Just Don’t Ask What We Do
Worth noting that the reporter on this story is a beat reporter who has been covering the Philadelphia tech scene closely for years now. She knows it like no one else.
BradyDale··on Ask HN: So I'm being let go
Wait, so you're a dev, not a reporter?

Where in the world are you? This is an important question.

BradyDale··on The patent on the Space Shuttle has expired
I wrote about this for the Observer a while back: http://observer.com/2015/06/you-too-can-build-a-business-on-...

1) They can encourage innovation in house by letting their own engineers share in licensing fees 2) They give a lot of stuff away 3) They go out of their way to get people to use their inventions in ways that are good for everyone concerned.

I'm a little rusty on the topic since this was a few months ago, but they made a pretty good argument that their measured approach is in the public interest.
