Bloating

Housing in Cali is known to cause cancer

I enjoy my yard, and my house. I do not like "city living". To each their own

My guess is the EPA is as complicit in the mess as the railroad. NS plays ball, takes the short-term heat, and they get to keep making profits as soon as the news cycle refocuses.

Of course, this all {some president's} fault!

What comes first, the regulation or the regulatory capture?

Does Cigna have gun-welding police force?

"Left vs right" is just "Bread & Circuses"... well, maybe not bread

> It's not like non-profits can't be evil

There's no shortage of non-profits that exist to pay saleries. As an example, growing up in the bible-belt, and I can confirm that religion can be good business.

Grist?

Likewise, its not the gun that kills

Only in California, where they cause cancer

shush...

At least in my experience, a good part my unproductive time is spent satisfying the demands of the self-perpetuating bureaucracy

Cool, lets also advocate for year-round school. The school schedule is what really dictates our family schedule

40 hours really has to due with overtime rates, advocated by progressive companies back in the day. 20 years ago, Progressive companies advocated for company gyms, day-care, unlimited M&Ms and ping-pong tables. Now, its work from home (for now.)

Otherwise can we question the need to differentiate full-time vs part-time? Its certainly arbitrary, and mostly related to whether one qualifies for benefits. In the case of benefits, it may be less than 40 hours.

You hold organizations accountable by "voting with your feet". In this case, you find a different employer.

or, find another employer of which, outside the bloated tech sector, there are plenty looking for employees, especially small businesses which have been begging for more help. If you're used to working for megacorp, try a small business where you get to know the owners

> how should employees effect change at their organisation

Vote with your feet: quit

Do your employers force you to work for them?

Unless you're addicted to the bloated tech sector, its not real hard to find a well paying job elsewhere.

> How many 2 cent stamps in a dozen?

A dozen is 12, so 12 x 2 = 24. Therefore, there are 24 two cent stamps in a dozen.

Like Apple, they have a vision for $$$

> What was the lock in mechanism?

being a hipster

I used to get excited about the benefical uses of new tech. Now, I'm expecting to be charged 19.95 subscription (for data that should never and doesn't really need to leave the LAN) for the privliege of amazon tracking my movements so they know when to send TP JIT. Thank you guys

As I understand your comment, simple is a key feature for Mac users

I switch parties all the time. Whats the big deal?

wunderground.com has existed for a long time. Defining feature it is can crowd source weather

Free market competition should be outlawed! Collusion should be legal. Unless I don't like your virtue signals, then you're a greedy capitalist robber baron!

Right to Work laws allow employees to make an individual choice whether to join a union in a unionized shop.

Its a reddit issue

$1.5M+ homes is not a bad area
