And also, humans have been doing a lot more work than just mathematics...
How is this even a question.
For example, group theory lead to a useful way of thinking about how to solve a wide array of problems. That is what mathematicians are seeking.
FWIW, Rust is my main language, so I am grateful to the humans that created it, and it is indeed a monumental effort. But vuln finding is a different kind of creative endeavour, and one that is heavily weighted against defenders.
Removing this measure suddenly means that academic mathematic norms need to adapt rapidly, and, even more importantly, intrinsic motivation for many mathematicians needs to change rapidly. That is understandably a sea change for the current mathematics community.
If you're going to use wrong words, then be prepared for people to be pissed off at your wrong usage.
That is not collaboration, and is not an academic norm.
Have you done any mathematical research? If not, then no, knowing that a problem is solvable is not “half the battle”.
Homework problems are all designed to be solvable, yet they can vary greatly in difficulty. Research mathematics is even more extreme, because, unlike with homework, you don’t know that it is solvable with the extant mathematics, and you might need to invent new maths.
Either put up some evidence-backed arguments, or shut up.
