Seem to be having issues with the JS sandboxes
I’m unaware of another product that got 1B run rate in less than a year from launch
I’m not sure the human species has the capacity to actually coordinate behavior at the scale needed, irrespective of any future warning etc…, to be able to combat this
I’m sorry but I’m sick to death of all this rose tinted glasses crap about the history of the Internet
I got on the Internet in 1993 and it is always been a cesspit of bullshit. You could easily find child pornography online in the 90s and there were all kinds of scams constantly being tried
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Substance_abuse_in_ancient_Rom...
Also there’s absolutely no aspect of Rome that I would want to repeat
it was a bunch of pederasty, slavery and overall horrific conditions for almost everybody
Having values is expensive
Many people pay with their lives
Like how scammers put in typos
So why keep discussing?
One of Carlins hallmarks was the way he fine tuned his language, almost never was something he said on stage accidental or improv funny enough
So it’s genius in the fact that it conveys the point perfectly, while being quizzical in its formation
Carlin is God but that quote doesn’t actually make a lot of sense
In fact you could probably make a strong case that the US and USSR did NuclearMaxxx
It’s called the nuclear arms race/cold war and was the defining characteristic of society post WWII until 9/11
Nuclear power is one of the most amazing magical things on the planet but nuclear weapons present a massive challenge to social coordination. So maybe we should sit as a society and try to figure out how to manage that instead of just freak out and burn all of our own faces off because we can’t handle complex conversations.
Why is that so hard to grasp?
Yeah basically how does someone get to the point where they don’t die of cringe in the process of selling themselves
I mean “sell yourself” as a term is pretty gross

It’s $70 a year, $17 a quarter, or $7 a month, and in return you get a weekly newsletter that’s usually anywhere from 10,000 to 18,000 words, including vast, detailed analyses of NVIDIA, Anthropic and OpenAI’s finances, and the AI bubble writ large.
It’s so overwhelmingly clear to me that people who do this, get paid. So its clearly effective.
I’d love somebody else who’s figured this out to explain it to me.
I mean drafting code on my phone with chatgpt in a Waymo is legitimately some Jestons shit and I’m not hearing otherwise.
Amazing
The next year is going to be wild folks
