AmazingEveryDay··on Cambrian Explosion of AI
Oh actually I was just expressing my thoughts also - did not mean to imply your blog was not human generated. Maybe my contributions are too snarky and critical as someone else stated. Carry on!
AmazingEveryDay··on Cambrian Explosion of AI
Consider the past four months of life through the filter of from?site=debarshibasak.github.io : We've gone beyond DevOps, and have suffered the Death of the Roadmap. It is acknowledged that the Easy part of building is over, and We wonder if GitHub is still needed. Many things remain unclear of course, due to the Cambrian Explosion of AI.

Disclaimer, my summary is human generated

AmazingEveryDay··on The Universe Rendered in ASCII
ASCII now requires WebGL 2?

What a world. Seriously, what is the point in "rendering in ASCII" if WebGL 2 is required?

AmazingEveryDay··on The Misalignment Is Within: Why Mathematics Must Embrace the AI Paradigm
So I'm curious, you have blog full of what Mathematicians 'must do'. Why do you feel such a need to lecture them? Are you mathematician yourself? Thanks.
AmazingEveryDay··on Ask HN: Can you suggest an interesting skill?
Juggling has always intrigued me. While out for a walk the other day I saw someone practicing.
AmazingEveryDay··on The UV index is not the warm sensation of sunlight on bare skin
From conclusion of paper, I read the opposite of what you state. "A better strategy would be to expose a larger fraction of the body for a shorter time period, preferably when the sun is lower in the sky to allow a greater margin of error."

A sun lower in the sky means your shadow is longer. Maybe I'm confused?

AmazingEveryDay··on There's a high chance of devices being sold with GrapheneOS preinstalled in 2027
Well you could always use the GrapheneOS Auditor (hardware-based attestation) to verify. Although simply re-installing is about as much effort.
AmazingEveryDay··on The Small Car Is Disappearing in America
Maybe another side-effect of GLP-1 usage will be a return to smaller cars! As a sometime pedestrian/cyclist, I can only hope.
AmazingEveryDay··on ZK-JPEG: Zero-Knowledge Image Editing and Compression
True I can see there being issues in legal system yes. The Kyle Rittenhouse trial was a good covid-time diversion and I remember much consternation and fuss about the zooming/enhancement of some of the video evidence.
AmazingEveryDay··on Exfiltrate Your Weights
Yeah I mean, if the models really are uncontrollable to the extent that huggingface/etc were unintended hacks, wouldn't one expect some significant self-owns? Yet somehow that doesn't seem to happen.
AmazingEveryDay··on ZK-JPEG: Zero-Knowledge Image Editing and Compression
I'm trying to think of recent real-world examples where the reality of the photo was of major importance. Photographs just don't seem to have the same significance, even as potential verification of their realness becomes more achievable.
AmazingEveryDay··on The Secret Life of Circuits
It's my honest opinion - visually it stood out to me as bad looking. I think you know better than to accuse me of hurting people, when merely I present opinion about how a book looks! It's a harsh world out there, there is far worse being said.
AmazingEveryDay··on The Secret Life of Circuits
I looked at sample chapter, the fonts and layout are visually repulsive.
AmazingEveryDay··on I'm Back
Don't let your guard down they're still out to get you
AmazingEveryDay··on A misalignment of AI in mathematics
Some of the comments here are very strange. Someone called Terrance Tao a useful idiot. Friday in America, maybe people are hitting the beer a bit early.
AmazingEveryDay··on I Couldn't Play Guitar, So I Spent 6 Years Building a Guitar Robot [video]
Do you have a demonstration video, youtube SHORTS or otherwise?
AmazingEveryDay··on [dead]
I'd like to subscribe to your blog. Do you have a blog?
AmazingEveryDay··on GPT-6 Astra on robot arms
I've learned that I spend significantly less time folding laundry than many of the people commenting about modern ai powered robotics. It's not meant literally is it? For instance keeping floors and counter-tops clean seems a much bigger time sink for me.
AmazingEveryDay··on Noxe – P2P chat over Tor with no central server
Why does it include "built-in anti-spam measures"? If I choose to chat with someone this way, I wouldn't expect the other person would start spamming me.
AmazingEveryDay··on Formalizing Fermat's Last Theorem

AmazingEveryDay··on Hugging Face is too important to fall into Nvidia's hands
It feels like end-times. I'd like to help with archiving. Any recommendation of set of files to backup while still possible and huggingface not all 'cucked'
AmazingEveryDay··on Show HN: Weedout – Safari extension that hides YouTube AI-labeled videos
Agreed. I think instead of "AI or not", that something more nuanced is needed - perhaps a rating system inspired by the MPAA's (g, pg, pg-13 r, nc-17, x) that is used for movies.
AmazingEveryDay··on I trained a small transformer in 1.5hrs and it beats many LLMs
So this achieves 44%, I'm wondering: To consider yourself a reasonably competent human, what % to achieve on ARC-AGI-1? Thanks in advance to anyone that knows, can answer!
AmazingEveryDay··on The Absurdity of Desktop Linux
Come on ingve. You can do better than this.
AmazingEveryDay··on MartyPC is a cross-platform emulator of early PCs written in Rust
Many people are very angry that you used Rust. Did you expect this choice to cause such an uproar?
AmazingEveryDay··on Lying in Therapy
"A recent study by (some entity I've never heard of)"... No link to the study. Nevermind the replicability crisis. I don't know how this stuff gets upvoted.
AmazingEveryDay··on Study links coffee consumption to metabolic health and sex hormones
Clicked article expecting the requisite "...in mice" but it turns out this could be legit!
AmazingEveryDay··on Turn satellite imagery into a paper globe you fold yourself
Some interesting comments https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=49093845
AmazingEveryDay··on The original URL for this prediction will no longer be available in 11 years (2011)
Software after Death as a Service?
AmazingEveryDay··on Turn messy AliExpress dropshipping listings into clean products with AI
Doing God's work, thank you.
