This is what I use - https://github.com/tanujnotes/Olauncher, and it's amazing!
Aarvay··on Unofficial guide to dotfiles on GitHub
Just wanted to mention Stow[1] here, which I use to symlink my dotfiles on a new machine on a per app basis for many years now. My set up script just installs basic compiler toolchain and runs a bunch of stow commands based on Linux/Mac OS. I also adhere to XDG base spec[2] so I can keep my ~/ clean.

Aarvay··on Functional, declarative audio applications
Would've loved it if it wasn't a JUCE wrapper. Nevertheless, some great work here. The same approach can be applied to any non-JUCE stuff too, which would be kickass! :)

Timely blogpost around the release of Daredevil ! ;-)
Aarvay··on Parallel Map in Elixir
When choosing to apply parallelism, it should never be about the length of the collection but only the computational intensity of the function that's being applied. There's a considerable overhead in spawning processes and collecting the result from them

Aarvay··on PlanMy.Travel wants to solve travel planning woes with human expertise
Thanks Ashwin. So the main thing that differentiates us from other players is the philosophy that we have towards travel planning which we summarised in one of our blog posts: http://blog.planmy.travel/post/65971193858/what-do-instant-c...

Aarvay··on Ask HN: How do you store and organize your startup ideas?
Evernote. Trello. Google Docs. Three top tools I use / have used for this purpose.

Aarvay··on Why only few number of IIT kids end up doing startups
I thank you for making me realize that this post sounds offensive. I didn't mean it that way. I ll update the post with my apologies.

I would like to clear few things here.

[1] This is not a post against IITians or anybody for that matter. [2] I wrote this post out of concern and in search of a solution that will change the startup scene here in India. It sounds over-ambitious but I want to be a part of such a revolution, however little I contribute. [3] This article concerns only to related people. I hope I have conveyed that at least

"Of course, there are really pleasant opportunities available that one need not look at entrepreneurship as the only possible work. But my only worry is that people with real motivation also get lost in this place."

[4] I didn't mean it, when I told "IIT guys will never do it". I sincerely apologize again.

Aarvay··on Do people really need your idea?
Requirement is more fundamental.
Aarvay··on Don't love your idea. Hate it.
It's not the right the word. Agreed. But I never said give up. The whole point was to tell, don't have any personal attachment with ideas. I used that word to make people understand what I am trying to say :)
Aarvay··on Don't love your idea. Hate it.
Joel, I agree. Hate is a strong word. I just used it so that people get what I am trying to tell. I think you have a great thought here. It makes much sense :)
Aarvay··on Ask HN: What data structure does our brain use?

Aarvay··on Ask HN: What data structure does our brain use?
Explanation is fair enough. Moreover, it is comfortable to model it as a graph.
Aarvay··on Ask HN: What data structure does our brain use?
Thanks espeed for the great info!
Aarvay··on Ask HN: What data structure does our brain use?
Yes. Agreed. But it'll be better to think on a different line. Say, you take a situation and analyze how the brain manipulates.
Aarvay··on Ask HN: What data structure does our brain use?
Can you elaborate?
