You could also get a framework laptop mainboard with a case: https://frame.work/products/cooler-master-mainboard-case

They're selling consumer GPUs with huge margins too. The markup on the 40xx series is insane but they're still shipping a ton of units.

Started my career at the age of 20 before I even graduated with my CS degree, and been solving lots of different problems since. See my resume below for details.

I haven't used it with docker, but the remote development feature of VS Code is surprisingly good. You don't feel like anything is missing or slow compared to running on your own machine.

You can just lower graphics settings to get more out of the GPU, but there is no CPU equivalent to that like "lowering AI quality".

All browsers on ios use the safari engine. Only thing chrome can do is sync your bookmarks.

Any politician/party who goes for such a policy would lose a lot of popularity.

A slow rollout could happen where this short renewal time only applies to new licence holders, but then it'd take 20 years to really see its effects.

I think the reason he's so popular within the tech community is because he's _very_ relatable to some of us in a dark way. Most tech people see themselves as artistic geniuses who can hack things like TempleOS, but almost all are also suffering from mental illness in some way. Sure, being socially awkward in conversation isn't exactly comparable to Terry's schizophrenia; still it's very easy to reflect our physiological fears on him these days where depression (or detection of depression) rates have skyrocketed.

I don't know, maybe I'm more crazy than average, but this feels like a good explanation of why people are so obsessed with him. Not every homeless person in the US gets enough donation money from 4chan to run their own website and video show.

Minecraft was (probably still is) one of the biggest factors for a lot of people to learn programming. Specially in the first years where it felt so genuinely indie: It had noticeable (but mostly harmless) bugs, and the famous notch was doing everything alone (don't think the solo phase lasted that long, but that's what the public thought).

Does the article mean ENcoding and not just coding?
