No definition of that word matches their usage of it. Your papers, please.
This is a common incorrect assumption. You have to balance ratio with speed, otherwise you end up with something that spends more time decompressing than actually downloading, as is literally the case today with XZ. this is why alternatives like Zstandard are getting popular. 9 times faster decompressing for 10% worse ratio.

> They were liable to be pelted by the crowd with rotten eggs and fruit, dead cats and dogs, mud and every variety of filth, and in extreme cases with stones, saucepans and other missiles that caused serious injury. Some were killed or maimed for life.
Stop it.
how many platforms need to be ruined by an algorithmic feed before people understand that its a terrible idea?
people can use my work for free, as long as the use is non-commercial. I wont respond to the rest of the sentence, because its built on an obvious strawman that I have quoted here. Good day!

so I will defer to that over your opinion.
those all allow commercial use. so programmers who want to prevent commercial use cannot use CodeBerg.
non-commercial licenses protect free software, just not in the pedantic meaning you are peddling.
> non-commercial and other use-restricted licenses are not Open Source (OSI) or Free Software (FSF) licenses.
looks like you cropped the rest of that sentence, so here it is again: with that one restriction that it cant be used for commercial purpose. Also if being OSI or FSF compliant, means that businesses can use my work for free, then no thank you.
> People oppose use-restricted licenses for good reason, too.
yeah, because they want software without paying for it, which they can then use to turn a profit.
people always like to come out of the woodwork in these discussion throwing around scary terms. non-commercial licenses are exactly like any other open source license, with that one restriction that it cant be used for commercial purpose. people do this for good reason, to stop companies from making huge profits off the back of free work. so use whatever fancy term you want, but the practice is not defensible.
I dont care.
FYI for anyone that does this, MITM Proxy is usually a better option for this type of stuff. Not sure about Chrome, but especially with Firefox, you have no way of getting the full raw request on anything with a request body like POST. You have to Copy Request Headers, then Copy POST Data. With MITM Proxy or similar you can just get the full request at once. Also you can inject headers like X-Forwarded-For into all or specific requests.
