1750horse··on Has AI coding gone too far? I feel like I'm losing control of my own projects
Did you use an LLM to edit your comment? I am not casting aspersions, just trying to figure out if I am intuiting it correctly or not.
1750horse··on Ask HN: Tech people who are self employed. How do you do it?
I just commented elsewhere that your comment felt AI-written. Then I read this and I'm like "feels GenAI", then I see it's the same username. What's going on?
1750horse··on Ask HN: Is AI 'context switching' exhausting?
This feels AI-written to me.
1750horse··on Ask HN: What is the oldest thing you own that you still use?
For most people this is probably furniture, but specifically for tech, it's a record player-FM radio combo from the 70s/80s with some records dating back to the same period. I also have a Bluetooth receiver hooked up to it as an audio input source, which means I can use it as a speaker system for my digital movie projector.

I also have plans to purchase some old landline phones to create a room-to-room phone system with a cheap PBX machine, but that's a long term plan.

1750horse··on Ask HN: AI changed coding–what's the real‑world equivalent for sales/marketing?
Here in the Netherlands there is a startup that promises to use GenAI/ML to better align brand values/messaging with actual advertising content. This is for TV marketing and such, so on the content production side.
1750horse··on Ask HN: Building a Non-AI tool feels surprisingly refreshing for me
I strongly relate to this. At some level, the rise of AI assistants a few years after I learned to code was a major, and unpleasant, inflection point in my enjoyment of programming. Debugging became less satisfying, and the sense of mastery I once enjoyed creating something out of nothing seems cheapened by its automation.
