Yes, he's continuing to work on the long tail of drivers needed for Linux on Apple silicon. Looks like lately he's working on speakersafetyd, a daemon that will monitor audio levels and keep the builtin speakers from being damaged: https://github.com/marcan?tab=overview&from=2023-09-01&to=20...
For my part I would say that you shouldn't police other people and tell them what to do in public, or if you do it, soften it sightly.
I completely agree that "don't link to my site" is a ridiculous request - I'm not saying that I approve of it. But it's what they want - and the Asahi project has numerous problems with it anyway, so avoiding drawing attention from HN has some benefits to everyone.
My apologies if it sounded like I was policing - that was not my intent.
I reject the notion that I shouldn't link to someone in good faith, regardless of whether they like it.

Consider a battery pack? I have a Bluetti K2 and get far more hours running heavy workloads than people report on M1. It's never bothered me carrying it around, though some might care I guess.
My only regret is that it's slightly over the amount that is legal on planes in most jurisdictions.
Gotten so much mileage out of this laptop battery, especially on long distance trains, but it's a no go on planes by being so slightly over the limit.
