I have created a map to showcase which cities/communities in Germany (and other countries) do switch off lights at night - mostly for saving energy, some for protecting #biodiversity I'll be updating this list / map whenever I notice new items.

Almost every item has the corresponding news link as reference.

Side-effect of the switch-off is clearly less light pollution and thus a relief to nocturnal species.

It might help convincing the one or other mayor or administration that there are already many others who switch off lights at night (some since years).
