Urban public lighting switch-off map

I have created a map to showcase which cities/communities in Germany (and other countries) do switch off lights at night - mostly for saving energy, some for protecting #biodiversity I'll be updating this list / map whenever I notice new items.

Almost every item has the corresponding news link as reference.

The map: https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=1nxZDQjCwxKov-cHD8t...

The data: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ZePwJHgj5UdnZfQp2UaS...

Add cities to the list by filling out/submitting this form: https://forms.gle/FyZBS23njYPpc8BY7

Feel free to use the data as you like or share. It's public data anyway.

Side-effect of the switch-off is clearly less light pollution and thus a relief to nocturnal species.

It might help convincing the one or other mayor or administration that there are already many others who switch off lights at night (some since years).
