In our household blackpillers are a running joke that isn't funny.

My son says that "people talk about incel terminology, such as 'x-pill' but it's really 4chan terminology... Thanks to the media, which only pays attention to mass shootings, people think it is 'incel terminology."

An ex-friend of my son is testament to the destruction wreaked by blackpill ideology, but you never hear about victims like him because he hasn't shot anybody (at least yet.)

This person quit talking to my son because my son is taller then him, turned down a chance to move into an fight club house filled with Polish neo-nazis to mooch off his parents, stole $1000 out of an envelope to buy illegal anabolic steroids (I couldn't get him to work out at the gym though...) About the only good thing that happened was he dropped out of Wheat Waffle's cult because he (being Chinese) couldn't stand to hang out with Indians.

It's as bad as Scientology or People's Temple.

It isn't 4Chan per se, but it is no coincidence that 4Chan appears associated with it due to the militant approach to "hands off" moderation.

8Chan, and various darker corners of the internet have it much worse. The fact is, moderating this type of thing out of sight is counterproductive, and even downright dangerous.

People can't get pulled back from the edge if you can't find them, and you aren't saving any sinners if you never leave the church.

I might be terminally online because I see chanspeak everywhere.

We see people decrying the influence of social media, but I remember what the internet was like before 4chan blew up. Before 4chan, the white supremacists and neo-Nazis stayed on stormfront.org where they damn well belonged, and if they showed up elsewhere they were bullied until they left.

Now we're expected to "tolerate" these ignorant shitfountains because of "free speech" and "civility". "Rights for me, privileges for thee," being the central principle of reactionaries of all stripes.

If I had to choose between living with my parents and having a bunch of Polish neo-Nazis as roommates I'd have to sit down and think it over. Neither option is particularly palatable. The former means living with people who still see me as their "little boy" and can't accept that I've had a mind of my own for the last 30 years or so. The latter means being seen as a neo-Nazi myself because guilt by association is as human as wanting to murder somebody because they won't acknowledge that your god has a bigger dick than their god.

I mean, “chan-speak” isn’t limited to the far right anymore, it’s relatively common in younger far left circles and even growing among “normies”. I’ve seen guys on discord servers who never would have otherwise heard of 4chan pick up slang.

Maybe I just need to go yell at some clouds, but that bothers me. If I can't automatically dismiss people who use chanspeak as alt-reich cultists, I'm going to have to waste time figuring out new ways to identify neo-Nazis so I can avoid them.

They don't all wear MAGA hats or brown shirts. That would be too convenient.

That might be one of those Lovecraftian things where ignorance is sanity.
