If you're willing to assume the blackballers aren't in dire need of laxatives and cognitive-behavioral therapy then you're a much more charitable person than I am.
But, for the sake of the argument, let's suppose that women only catcall attractive men. These aren't the men I'm talking about when I talk about some men being unable to see themselves as desirable, sexual beings.
> Trying to catcall an average looking man will cause them to suffer severe stress symptoms like throwing up. If they keep doing it they'll suffer a psychiatric hospitalization and have to file a workman's comp claim against the organization doing this.
I'm a man who has been catcalled (by other men who see long hair and automatically think "woman") and I didn't experience any of these symptoms. It was annoying to be catcalled by men when I had no interest in having sex with men, but also instructive.
There's a reason I don't catcall women beyond that it's rude and counterproductive; the reason is that I've gotten a taste of what it's like to be on the receiving end and I didn't like it. However, my experience isn't universal. Other men might be lonely enough and desperate enough not to mind.
