On the website it showed a USDP currency symbol. That's a cryptocurrency right? I'm in the US, do I need to pay capital gains if someone sends money to me through this?
You do need to pay capital gains on gifted asset using the cost basis the gifter acquired the asset at. This is a stable coin though, so if you’re in the US there should be little gain/loss if the stable coin stays stable.
