you mean if i had to do cross border transfer, why not go with existing crypto networks like ripple or stellar or xmr or dash or what not?

crypto wallets, if you link them up with your government issued id behind a company that controls your wallet is as good as a bank so why go the extra step?

Because crypto wallets are really complicated ? As much as I’d love my mom to use crypto I wouldn’t be able to explain it to her if I tried.

what does complicated or easy having to do with forcing users submit a video selfie? reddit gave every user a crypto wallet in their app, just like that so why does this need KYC?

You do need to pay capital gains on gifted asset using the cost basis the gifter acquired the asset at. This is a stable coin though, so if you’re in the US there should be little gain/loss if the stable coin stays stable.
