Yeah except this crash was on the highway. No one is taking ebikes on the highway. It’s arguably the most controlled environment there is for cars outside of a test track.
But once autopilot works on the highway you don't think they aren't going to try and corner the market with inner city driver assist.
Regular use of (e)bikes within a city can make people sell their cars, and use other means of transport for occasional longer rides. Since I replaced my car with a bike, I also spend much less time in a car on the highways.
