Strange. You seem to have posted a doctored image. The fact that your "1977" image uses modern typography should have been an obvious giveaway to you before you posted it.

This is going to come off as impolite, which is not my intent. But I don’t how else to effectively drive the point home: one doesn’t post drivel and then it’s up to everyone else to disprove your convenient narrative. Ain’t nobody got time for that, take responsibility for what you post.

Your quote appears correct "if the global warming trend" is not reversed by year 2000. It hasn't and we still appear to be marching towards the lower lying island nations, such as the Maldives, disappearing. There is no mention of when they will disappear.

So it appears to strengthen rather than weaken the argument.

Your response to an assertion that an image is outright doctored is to post a quote from a senior U.N. environmental official?
