Interesting to see how critical Apple internally was (is?) about their competitiveness.

It's also interesting to see that they knew notifications were crap circa 2011 and _still_ haven't done anything to get ahead of Android.

Might have something to do with the Patent Google has[0].

That is an application, not an issued patent. Whether a patent is granted remains to be seen.
