If you meant, how it works; everytime you type something it changes on real-time basis.

For me, keeping track of such things is only very rarely important or interesting, and it certainly isn't part of my thought/idea feedback loop.
Someone like me who writes content with a word limit, it's beneficial for me to have something that will tell me if I have exceeded my limit of words.
