How does word/paragraph count "shape up" thoughts and ideas?

I'm sorry, I didn't quite understand your question. If you meant, how it works; everytime you type something it changes on real-time basis.

I'm asking why it's important in an minimal note-taking environment. Or how it "shapes up" your thoughts and ideas as the landing page states:

"Shape up your thoughts and ideas with our real-time character, word and paragraph count."

For me, keeping track of such things is only very rarely important or interesting, and it certainly isn't part of my thought/idea feedback loop.

Someone like me who writes content with a word limit, it's beneficial for me to have something that will tell me if I have exceeded my limit of words.
