you say this now that the smartphone is more of a commodity but indeed apple made huge impact by revolutionizing the smartphone market, google has a monopoly in search platform like FB has in social , thats the only difference.

I think you should be scared only if you feel you are not ready and users won't like your service, or may be you need a co-founder to get things going.

science is just a tool that discovers patterns , its not the force itself that is behind the scientific patterns. Evolution is just a stage and is part of the creational process and not the creator itself that triggered the so called evolution in the first place.

Evolution itself is just a stage and as such a subset of materialization. The first stage of evolution was triggered by an entity beyond our comprehension.

A great design needs an amazing designer, with due respect the scientists should focus on finding patterns in nature to increase our knowledge of the universe, not on the philosophy of life. They did not witness creation, and moreover their theories keep changing with time, but in the process they mislead others.

How do these founders get funded without traction..Everyone i talk to in my network says I need to launch and get traction first, although they like the product so far.

If I have an alpha/beta version of a product, should i be working to launch it to build traction or rather apply for YC ?

Also, I have a day job which pays well and i need the job but my passion is to build innovative/useful solutions. I wonder how i could be full time at YC or is it ok to be working part time?. I have also heard that investors would not even look at your proposal if they know you're working part time on it.
