zippoxer··on Why Go gets criticized so much
A web service has to consider errors more carefully than you might think.
zippoxer··on Mondo bank taking £1m crowdfunding investment
I know, I used atom for a couple months until I found VSCode, it's lightning fast compared to Atom and has a great go plugin I contributed to a couple of times :) Oh, and goimports/goreturns don't lock anything, and the editor even highlights their changes :)

I wouldn't give my bank credentials fora 3rd party app. Even if you forgo trust, what happens when something goes wrong and the bank doesn't take responsibility for the 3rd party app?

The dude in the video editing 3 Go files on the same screen with Atom :P I wish I was brave enough to do that.
zippoxer··on 'RuneScape' Can't Escape 2007
Hey Omer?

I used to watch your channel (previously MMOHut) a few years back. This was my favorite ;-)

zippoxer··on Use JSON files as if they are Python modules
> Have you ever been kept awake at night, desperately feeling a burning desire to do nothing else but directly import JSON files as if they were python modules

I almost died laughing at this. Feels like the author is aware that this scenario is probably the only one where such library can be mission critical.

zippoxer··on Golang script to send and receive events with a tiny simple API
Reflect usage is a slow down, but you know what? Still much faster than most dynamic languages
zippoxer··on 52 Places to Go in 2016
Even when I'm reading non-programming related stuff, the capital "G" always gets me.
zippoxer··on 52 Places to Go in 2016
I was certain this was gonna be a list of 52 Go resources.
zippoxer··on Starting a tech startup with C++
The GC has been drastically improved recently and going to get another improvement in the next release - Go 1.6. Either way, if Python was considered, Go isn't less fit to be considered.
zippoxer··on Happy new year
you must mean </2015> <2016> or do I need an XML course this year?
zippoxer··on Seventy years after Adolf Hitler’s death, how Germans see him is changing
Survivors are few and will soon be extinct, but what about their children and grandchildren, who kept hearing their stories and were raised feeling their trauma and terror?
zippoxer··on Why Go Is Not Good (2014)
This article looks to me like a list of personal preferences presented as facts. There's much more depth to language design than what the author presents - a checklist of must-have features that are "obviously better".
zippoxer··on Chemicals linked with severe respiratory disease found in e-cigarette flavors
Many e-juice providers are really responsible and do self-regulation. It's important to know who you're getting your juice from.
zippoxer··on State of emergency in France
> According to the founding father of Zionism Theodore Herzl, “the area of the Jewish State stretches: “From the Brook of Egypt to the Euphrates.”

Yeah, it's just that no Israelis want any more areas. Except the extremist ones.

zippoxer··on Goodbye?
"For me, it's a process of learning to distrust my negative emotions. Afterwards they always seem unfounded."

OP, take a step back and focus on this.

This alone.

zippoxer··on Scrape: A simple, higher level interface for Go web scraping
I agree. Reading the title, I thought scrape would offer something beyond HTML manipulation.

The way that it is now, goquery provides easier and more familiar HTML manipulation.

zippoxer··on MongoDB 3.0
Still waiting for benchmarks comparing WiredTiger with the standard MongoDB engine.
zippoxer··on Why you PHP guys should learn Golang
Look at lowendbox.com and say that hosting Go is inconvenient again. Heroku and GAE are supporting Go too.
