I think it does practically the same thing as your method.
I always wonder how "real" do dreams feel for people who dream lucidly, but then I realize that it wouldn't matter for me. The level of realism, details, the feelings - are irrelevant, since it would only be a memory, at no point in time I would ever be experiencing it. It would be just a faint, happy, memory of something that didn't happen.
My main issue is that I went with free plan + my own server because transfers to their servers were really bad. But to supply your own storage, you have to install Crashplan on the server, which uses significant amount of RAM. So this rules out backuping to my NAS (not enough memory there, even though it's x86 and technically people ran Java on it).
The other issue is that file format is (AFAIK) closed, and also you an account and connection to Crashplan service, so I'm not completely sure that you really own the data. I didn't do much research here, though.
wkhtmltopdf output never looked quite right to me.
To be honest sometimes I'm anxious when my bill ends up some number that's hard to tip from; but if I don't tip, nothing will happen.
If anyone needs something like this, try Kimsufi (OVH brand) [1]. Atom based servers for as low as 5 eur/mo.
A lot of shops here offer discounts when paying with cash. It violates rules of card processing companies - or rather, they would violate them to charge more for card transaction, so the stores would just say "3% discount on all purchases, unless paid by card".
It used to be different though, for example 10+ years ago I couldn't pay on the internet with my debit card, it had to be credit card - we called them "convex cards" because of the "raised" numbers on the card instead of just flat-printed card number.
