Anecdata: I just bought a used AM5 mobo and threw in this memory kit CMK64GX5M2B6400C32; hitting 6400 was as simple as turning on XMP and that's it.
No one has chimed in about some "magic words/phrasing" I need to use.
Like I mentioned, it seems like the rep will escalate it to another refund department if I say something in a particular way.
Obviously there is a tradeoff - there is always a tradeoff in software.
Having just gone through a re-design, our team's tradeoff was how much time to spend tweaking media-queries/screen-size responsivity for the countless permutations of device-resolutions & dpis vs just picking a handful of density-levels.
if you're on windows and haven't discovered the newest Terminal experience nor winget, you're welcome
I was responsible for roughly a dozen Signal converts. They will all be uninstalling when this takes effect. It seems like everyone else in this thread is saying the same.
Prepare for a mass exodus of users.
None of us want to be responsible for training/tech support for how to use 2 messaging apps for non-technical users
This is a terrible decision.
It took significant effort to convert close friends and family to signal and was only palatable due to it becoming the default messaging app on Android.
Not only will I be likely to field a ton of tech support once this occurs, I'll also likely need to recommend a completely different app.
Looks like I might just bite the bullet and buy iPhones for my immediate family (without icloud imessage backup)
Does this school have traffic 24/7 and do you broadcast everything from your front steps via a megaphone (and keep recordings)?
There are many comments here about video/audio recordings from public onto private property however there are various degrees of recording.
If there was a public park across the street from your house and someone setup surveillance-level equipment pointed at your front door, I'm not sure there is a rational judge who would consider this "oh well, they're on public land, nothing we can do here".
Backup 2: Continue making Twitter polls that potentially steer/force the current management's hand into the changes he wants to see implemented regardless.
For shame, but I'm leaving my comment as is
Should I instead be using Alpine? If someone is isn't distro aficionado and is utilizing "mainstream" docker images, what's the recommendation?
Tgese are some of the richest entities in all of human history and their direct customers cannot even get a reply to an inquiry that has destroyed their livelihood - and there is no law or regulatory body that requires them to.
This is embarrassing as an American citizen but moreover as a human in our current society - what exactly do we value/reward that this gets barely any attention?
"It's easy to be a critic."
If left unchecked, all that is done is the refinement of a skill that is able to find the potential hurdles/blockers in any problem space.
However, when part of a balanced team this attribute can save time going down dead-end paths. But it requires a yin to the yang - a perpetual optimist that won't take no for an answer.
For those of us that are on the analytical end of the spectrum, it is important to realize that noticing an early issue does not equate to the problem space being a waste of time that is unsolvable.1 Instead, use your super-power for good to accelerate finding the efficienct solution to the problem that some has identified and clearly expressed (which is itself itself a super power; and you may have just found your startup founder).
Expose yourself to everything you have the least bit of interest in. Go to all kinds of group meetings, sign up for classes that seem interesting, talk to people that are different from you, etc. It is very likely you will never have such easy access to these possibilities ever again.
Do not believe that you must declare a major immediately and that it will be set in stone for the rest of your life.
TLDR: explore your interests without fear
You don't even need to support the full API for this purpose as a very common use case is just uploading files for backups.
No one is arguing for S3 to become the one new standard, it is more like supporting the most common import/export file type in Photoshop/Blender.
If you have existing running processes in place and all you need to update is connection string and auth to save a ton of money then you are much more likely to do so.
The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran
This little book stumbles into my life every 5 or 10 years and always reinvigorates my appreciation for the beauty of life. It is like being swept away by a beautiful piece of music - it can touch your soul. Then again, like music, it is not for everyone nor even repeatable for yourself depending on what mood you are in.
