I agree. I LOVE how his post weaves in his normal life, having time for doing things he actually loves outside of work, while still continuing to work on passion projects. It just goes to show you that you don't need to always buy into the cowboy coding hype that is often on display here.

I think a lot of it is the pseudo-intellectual nature of the site to make people feel like they are more knowledgeable. If it's already a pop culture topic, like Tesla or Netflix, the topics will drive interest and thereby upvotes. John Oliver did a similar episode about Native Advertising.

A lot of people attacking him for his lack of integrity and lying, and I too feel a little disgusted by the behavior. However, what ethical negotiation strategy would you use in his place?
