What are the limits we should keep?
zahirbmirza··on UN demands accountability over Gaza hospital attack as Israel releases findings
I wish it would demand a cessation of the killing of innocents. I wish it could actually do something to stop the Horror that is being inflicted on Gaza rn. This has been going on far too long.
zahirbmirza··on Launch HN: Bitrig (YC S25) – Build Swift apps on your iPhone
This app is really quite fascinating as well as amazing. I have been using it for a week now. I do like how it is so good with Swift and iOS; you have done a great job of removing so much of the confusion that LLMs must face when trying to develop for a demanding platform. The API insight the app has is a testament to your deep background and foresight into iOS development. I really love this.

Also, I have been taking the code and advice from Bitrig into Cursor, because it solves problems Cursor struggles with no matter what model it calls.

Your work is empowering, but more than that, it is inspiring, because I can now start to envisage what computer human interaction will look like in the near future.

You have taken away a layer of complexity to creation and that is to be applauded. I think your work is a landmark. I think Bitrig will unleash a new era of creative expression. I wish that I was part of your team.

zahirbmirza··on Bitrig: iOS Native Vibe Coding?
A recent YC intake. Are we now in the era of truly personal apps being made on demand by users? I wonder what this may mean for Replit and Cursor's valuations. I like how they have considered an easy approach to Apple API incorporation. Early days only...
zahirbmirza··on Is there really an Apple iRobot coming?
100% agree. Who are they watching? That is an intriguing question... Is there anyone to watch?
zahirbmirza··on Is there really an Apple iRobot coming?
Quite interested, what are your thoughts on the state of robotics in the home at present? Are we headed to a Musk vision realised?
zahirbmirza··on Is there really an Apple iRobot coming?
Yes. There is drastic dearth in Apples lack of inspiring products.
zahirbmirza··on Is there really an Apple iRobot coming?
Yes, drastic times for creativity demands drastic measures for innovation.
zahirbmirza··on Is there really an Apple iRobot coming?
I really want to care.

So we have ethernet to the brain now... What happens when we get Wifi?
zahirbmirza··on What if A.I. doesn't get better than this?
AI doesn't need to get better than this. It is already saving millions of hours of previously wasted human productivity. The biggest threat to these companies if their products do not improve is the local running of LLMS. That would finally justify consumers buying more memory and processor speed.

zahirbmirza··on Taking Notes Effectively – which words should you write down?
Could you also tell us the words we should write down please as a list? It would be a super efficient use of time for anyone just reading this site. Thank you.
zahirbmirza··on Reporters killed and foreigners barred in Israel's battle for Gaza narrative
Narrative Control and the new Furnaces of Orwell.

Note to Moderators - This is not a Dupe (in my opinion and I will respect your greater insight) from what I have seen published on this site so far. The subject of this article covers an important starting point for discussion; that of the power of narrative control, selective publication and control of access to information.

zahirbmirza··on I tried every todo app and ended up with a .txt file
I find it most interesting that despite Notions appeal and fanbase, it continues to lead to failure of this function. I am one of those who has built not just one, but two two apps for this! But, for todo management, I still use a Notes file (.txt on iOS is hard). I suspect that the upcoming integration with AI/calendar in iOS 26 will make it less appealing to me however, because it will take away the control and simplicity of managing things myself manually.

zahirbmirza··on Emailing a one-time code is worse than passwords
Where are the big tech founders who are proponents of this method on their platforms? I would like to hear their justification.
zahirbmirza··on Netanyahu plans to fully occupy Gaza before handing governance to Arab nations
Note that the title of this article keeps getting changed by the Guardian. Presently, is it "Netanyahu aims to fully control Gaza despite warnings of mass death and resistance from military". Prior to this version, and the most recent past version () it made more overt reference to what is written now in the latter part of the first paragraph. "Benjamin Netanyahu said on Thursday that Israel intends to take military control of all of Gaza in defiance of warnings that such a move would lead to countless more Palestinian deaths, further mass displacement and endanger Israeli hostages still held in the territory."

zahirbmirza··on Netanyahu plans to fully occupy Gaza before handing governance to Arab nations
Why is no one, and I mean external to the local area, in actual control of this horror?
zahirbmirza··on When Did Apple's Obsession with Design Stagnate?
Design and aesthetics should be aligned for optimum function. Perfect design will almost always align perfectly with something that is aesthetic. Look at the form function of most phones, design and aesthetics have reached a singularity. Compare to the apple mouse, superficially ok, great superficial looks, but poorly designed as it does not do the job as well as a well designed product should.

The iPhone's invention was the result of deeply intentional design.

I do agree somewhat however; it is a pointless obsession to put aesthetics over function. The macbook 12 inch's keyboard is a case that proves your point.

zahirbmirza··on UN report finds UN reports are not widely read
Should I read this report?
zahirbmirza··on When Did Apple's Obsession with Design Stagnate?
Note. Design is essential if you are as obsessively critical as I am.
zahirbmirza··on When Did Apple's Obsession with Design Stagnate?
Yes. This is the exact consequence of complacency breeding stagnation. It is like Nokia, blackberry etx.. Everyone used a Brick phone because nothing was 10x better. Then iPhone came along. Notion, Obsidian...etc they are all 5, maybe 6x better.
zahirbmirza··on When Did Apple's Obsession with Design Stagnate?
That was some poor attention to detail and quality control. I had to get a replacement iphone 4.
zahirbmirza··on When Did Apple's Obsession with Design Stagnate?
Ya
zahirbmirza··on When Did Apple's Obsession with Design Stagnate?
Notes is awesome. It could be even better. But, it is because of this exact and common thought, people in Apple are too scared to think different.
zahirbmirza··on When Did Apple's Obsession with Design Stagnate?
Wow, interesting.
zahirbmirza··on When Did Apple's Obsession with Design Stagnate?
yes, i think sadly so.
