yojex··on Hyperloop One reveals strongest potential Hyperloop routes
Being able to effectively commute from Columbus to Chicago would open up a lot of job opportunities for myself and many others.
yojex··on Remotely Compromising Android and iOS via a bug in Broadcom's WI-FI Chipsets
Where can you learn if your device has been patched? I have an iPhone 5S.

EDIT: From another comment [0], unfortunately if you've been holding out on updates like I have you'll have to upgrade to 10.3.3.

yojex··on It’s not the methods that are Agile, it’s the people
>"If you're trying things out every so often, keeping what works, and discarding what doesn't (even if it's officially part of some named methodology!), you're not doing Agile Manifesto-Agile."

Are you missing a "not" here?

yojex··on Shyness: small acts of heroism
Hey, I really enjoyed reading this. I hear those thoughts 24/7, and they plan most of my days. You helped me put words to some of my own behaviors that I've mostly been lying to myself about. So thanks! And it was a well written story, besides.
yojex··on Lynis – Security Auditing Tool for Linux, MacOS, and Unix-Based Systems
I'm in the same boat as you (especially the part about knowing how little I know) and am on standby for a good tool to come about. It's hard to trust solutions given the security theater reputation in a lot of software.

To add to this, I didn't interpret it as "hiding UI" either. I don't think anything will be exclusively available for use on the TouchBar. The way I understood it was the TouchBar will behave like shortcuts to existing functionality.
yojex··on Google Has Dropped Ban on Personally Identifiable Web Tracking
Could you explain your use case with Sandstorm? I find their homepage to be ambiguous/not really sure what they're offering.
yojex··on I went to Nigeria to meet a man who scammed me
Not sure why you're downvoted for an honest question. Take a look at this research paper linked above by another commenter on why scammers say they're from Nigeria:

yojex··on It’s Been Real, Android: Why I’m Retiring from Android
Can you elaborate on how you do this? I wasn't aware that you could use a feature phone over bluetooth as a wifi hotspot. Are you doing something different?
yojex··on Show HN: Nightlight, an editor that runs inside Clojure projects
It's the same author, so I'm assuming that this is his spiritual continuation of Nightcode with a huge update.

EDIT: They are going to remain separate, here's what he wrote on the project site:

> Nightcode remains easier for beginners, because it's a standalone application with Leiningen and Boot built in, so they don't need to use the command line. Nightlight must be added to your project, but provides more power, so it may be more suitable for intermediate and advanced users.

yojex··on How many lines of code is Candy Japan?
Great read! My guess would have been greater than 10,000. Couple of typos towards the end you might want to fix:

"I don't know how I could have expect it, but somehow from the start I should have prepared for fraud. You want to at least keep an on any suspicious activity and react quickly if you start getting many chargebacks."

'expected' and 'at least keep an eye on'

yojex··on Atmospheric carbon dioxide passes 400ppm
I think he may be taking the human-survival-apathetic stance similar to this George Carlin bit, "The planet is fine; the people are fucked."

Not that I defend that viewpoint, but I can see its merits.

yojex··on Fat-fueled brain: unnatural or advantageous?
Your comment is rather unnatural, but quite good. :-)

yojex··on Commodore Back in Germany
A friend of mine has a 2011 or so MacBook Pro with a brushed/matte screen and it undeniably has less glare than the Retina screens. In fact it almost has no glare at all. No idea why Apple discontinued that.
yojex··on Commodore Back in Germany
Point taken. I overlooked the detail that it is a Chromebook. Is it possible that Chrome is further optimized on these machines?
yojex··on Commodore Back in Germany
You should qualify "underpowered" with some specific use cases, as 4gb is definitely enough for some.
yojex··on Commodore Back in Germany
Macbook Pros used to have brushed non-glare screens... and now the "Retina" has glare again. Why?
yojex··on Esoteric Topics in Computer Programming (2002)
Right, and so far from 'Separate the artist from the art' that when OP refers to TempleOS, he replies "That guy..."
yojex··on Hunter S. Thompson on Finding Your Purpose (1958)
Funny you should bring that up, considering the circumstances in which he did so.

I recommend everyone do some research on his suicide, it's very interesting. Start here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hunter_S._Thompson#Death

yojex··on Under Construction (2015)
What a shame, the web counter seems to be broken. Having mostly forgotten about them, it hit home for me to see those silly things mentioned.

What would you suggest instead? I think it looks well designed and clean, and just as acceptable as any of the other myriad animal-based logos.
yojex··on Humble Book Bundle: The Joy of Coding
I would gladly pay for a higher tier (at least $50) that ships you physical copies of these books.
