yiyu_earth··on SpaceX is building its own gas turbine blade factory to power AI faster
It’s quite rare to see gas turbines used in stationary power generation. Could someone explain their advantages?
yiyu_earth··on ExactTex. A gradually-typed superset of LaTeX
I do not believe that writing native LaTeX code is difficult today, given the popularity of AI-assisted coding. In comparison, using a "compiler that outputs LaTeX code" may be less stable.
yiyu_earth··on Muse Glimmer: 30B-parameter model optimized for always-on local agent workflows
This is most likely because the vast majority of the information the model absorbed during training was in Chinese. As a native Mandarin speaker, I frequently need to convert the prompt into English and output it in English in order to avoid that the model falls back into Chinese reasoning logic.

PS: Switching the thinking process from Chinese to English can also significantly circumvent certain self-censorship mechanisms built into the model.

yiyu_earth··on MATLAB programming language sinking in popularity
I believe that in an era when Coding Agents are extremely widespread, the development of the MATLAB language itself will not affect its popularity. Most people who use MATLAB do so merely to get their work done. The decline in MATLAB's popularity is more likely due to its supporting ecosystem being insufficiently refined, lacking an independent runtime environment similar to the Wolfram Language.
