yeuxardents··on Truck driver leads NJ Senate president after spending $153 on campaign
Thats not exactly correct. You can own hollow points in NJ, but you may only transport them from place of purchase to your home, or from your home directly to the range where you intend to shoot them, or from range back to home.

It is most certainly illegal to use hollow points in any instance in a case of self defense, even if the self defense is warranted.

I AM aware of it, but youre still tap dancing, which leads me to understand you are not having this conversation in good faith. Goodbye.
yeuxardents··on Ivermectin shows clinical benefits in mild to moderate COVID19: RCT double-blind
It is you who is mistaken.

Under an EUA, FDA may allow the use of unapproved medical products, or unapproved uses of approved medical products in an emergency to diagnose, treat, or prevent serious or life-threatening diseases or conditions when certain statutory criteria have been met, including that there are no adequate, approved, and available alternatives.

yeuxardents··on Why the U.S. once set off a nuclear bomb in space
All that radiation floating around, landing on crop fields and soils..something like 1000 atmosphere bomb tests and 2000 underground tests.

I am sure that none of the atmosphere bombs spread radiation around that people breathed in or consume, nor the underground bombs touched any aquifers.../extreme sarcasm

Some do indeed wonder if that was not a coordinated effort if not in pushing it, then at least massively taking advantage of impoverishing the individual in favor or corporatism, and the combination of corporatism with government...hmm..I do believe that last one has a name..

yeuxardents··on Ivermectin (Still) Lacks Scientific Support as a Covid-19 Drug
>Clinical trial research is perhaps the most complex and challenging type of research to get right

Cool, now compare the length, breadth, and historical use of ivermectin, hcq, etc, and experimental never-before-used-on-humans-en-masse mRNA injections.

yeuxardents··on Unvaccinated People Belong on the No-Fly List
Cost/benefit to whom? The disease according to all stats around the world primarily will kill those over 75 who are already ill and frail, under that age, which for most of the world is the AVERAGE life expectancy, the chance of death is near zero.

Avg death age in US from covid is 80. thats HIGHER than the life expectancy. I am not saying who cares about seniors, but, somehow we lost the thread that old people die, and that this happens and is normal.

edit

and that we shouldnt blow up the entire planet and inject everyone with experimental drugs just to save 10,000 over 80's

yeuxardents··on Unvaccinated People Belong on the No-Fly List
>There is little argument against getting vaccinated.

You would be immensely surprised as to the varying reasons and literature and science brought to bear as to why this statement is incorrect.

Longitudinal cross sectional studies, for one, comes to mind.

Never before used technology to innoculate the ENTIRE population at once, never having been used before also comes to mind.

That only scratches the surface for people objecting to being forced, does not get into nitty gritty details.

Those alone should be sufficient to not inject the entire human population on planet earth with an experimental unapproved medical treatment.

yeuxardents··on CDC: Covid-19 Vaccine Breakthrough Infections in Massachusetts
At the risk of downvotes, not that I care, there are people out there who are exercising their own due caution for their own health reasons, based on individualized specifics. When has there EVER been a one size fits all solution to health, very rarely.

That being said, I dont have social media and I dont see what you see. From where I sit, I see very little of vocal antivaxxers and significantly of the exact opposite - extremely vocal shaming of anyone who has not taken the vax by people who have.

Many of the people I have spoken to, who have not, have experienced in their lives long-term health effects of ill advised medication - much of it from these very same companies. To demand that they take a new medication that has no longitudinal studies associated with it, along with warnings out there, either from the FDAs own website, or from former workers of these vaccine companies, seems cruel.

yeuxardents··on Most People Don't Understand How Bad Climate Change Already Is
I see it in older folks. They dont care at all about any of it because they have literally been told since the 60/70s that theres only X more years before Y happens, and every single time the date passes and the dire prognostication does not occur.

Its crisis fatigue

Other vaccine trials were shut down immediately with less than 100 deaths. Suddenly we are accepting of THOUSANDS of deaths due to a vaccine, possibly more unreported? Utter Scientific Religion level beliefs going on here.
yeuxardents··on Brain imaging before and after Covid-19 in UK Biobank
> We don't know about long term effects, those are, y'know, long term and hard to study in this kind of timeframe. Which is why the linked article is notable.

This is priceless, as, for the same reasons, we do not know the long term effects of any of the vaccines either.

yeuxardents··on Pfizerleak: Exposing the Pfizer manufacturing and supply agreement
"Purchaser acknowledges...the long-term effects and efficacy of the Vaccine are not currently known and that there may be adverse effects of the Vaccine that are not currently known."

And yet so many people cannot understand why other are hesitant to take a new tech mRNA untried-before with unforeseen and unknown long-term side-effects 'vaccine'

Assuming this leak is legit, of course

lol, nice

its true though, at this point, you can give new life to older laptops/desktops with linux by just throwing in a ssd and bam, use that. or even buy a cheap intel NUC and now you have your linux box

dual booting is terrible

yeuxardents··on Empty storefronts are killing neighbourhoods
Its anecdotal of course, but many people in my age bracket 20-40 would much prefer to be able to say FU to amazon and walk to the local downtown and be able to peruse physical shops. They understand the socialization and 'home town support' that the loss of these shops and the rise of ecommerce begets.

eg. I know many people in this age bracket who would love to take a chance on one of these empty shops and create their own inspired shop of some kind, but the costs are absurdly prohibitive, namely rent and taxes, so instead, the downtown area of so many towns remain empty and desolate. startup capital costs even in semi middle of nowhere are too high to even create a 10 seat specialty cafe or anything like that

yeuxardents··on Treating the Unvaccinated
How about no understanding of potential long term side effects whatsoever? Fancy some liver cancer in four years?

What part about 'not been fully studied' and 'experimental' do people such as yourself not understand?

yeuxardents··on Treating the Unvaccinated
Fine, then let people choose to be treated early on with Ivermectin or HCQ. Lets see what the results bear out.

Considering 'right to try' essentially amounts to 'you are dying, so you can try and experimental drug and see if it works' and the vax is presently experimental and emergency use only, why not permit the other two?

yeuxardents··on Biden Moves to Restrict Non-Compete Agreements, Saying They're Bad for Workers
I think the larger issue of accomplishing this, and many other actions, via EO, is that the nexts administration can simply turn around and revoke or alter at-will. We saw that from Obama->Trump->Biden administrations pretty swiftly in first few months of each successive administration.
yeuxardents··on Birds are dying in the United States and no one knows why
Perhaps too reductive, but it was not that long ago that poisoned dog food from china was mass killing pets.

Perhaps people should learn from the old adage:

stop feeding the animals... (with tainted bulk food you bought at lowes/homedepot mass produced in China)?
