yednap868··on Show HN: I built an AI SuperConnector for founders and VCs
Fair point and you’re right, human intros carry reputation, that’s the real trust layer we’re trying to rebuild in an AI first way.

Vance starts small - making intros that actually lead somewhere, and over time, builds his own kind of reputation based on outcomes. That’s the part I’m most excited about. Also, totally agree on data, Vance doesn’t store or sell any. Context purely comes from what users share - intent, story, timing not behavioural tracking.

Curious though - how would you imagine trust being built for something like this?

That’s actually great feedback. The “wolf” angle was meant to make Vance feel a bit more personal and less like another cold SaaS tool, but I get how it can come off as gimmicky or even confusing if you’re seeing it for the first time. Appreciate you calling that out.

The idea is to build something that actually feels alive, not a form or dashboard but yeah, totally hear you on the trust side. We’ll definitely tone down the fluff and focus on clarity. And you’re right about WhatsApp, it’s mainly because we started in India where it’s the default messaging app. We’re thinking of giving users the ability to call Vance directly and reach out on LinkedIn.

Appreciate you checking it out (even if it wasted a few minutes). Thanks for being honest.

That’s a really fair take and honestly, I agree with a lot of what you said.

Warm intros work because they’re human. When someone introduces you, they’re putting their reputation behind it. Vance isn’t trying to replace that, it’s more like helping people make those intros faster and smarter. The AI just understands context and timing, the human still approves the intro.

On privacy, completely get the concern. We don’t scrape or sell data. Everything is opt-in through alumni or founder networks that choose to partner. It’s less about monetizing networks and more about making them actually useful.

And yeah, starting with IIT/IIM-type clusters is just to prove that the model works where trust density is high. The long-term goal is to open this up so access to good intros isn’t a privilege.

Appreciate you sharing this, these are exactly the kind of questions that help us build this right.

You're absolutely right. That said, we believe Hacker News has the kind of community we’d be excited to bring onboard - early adopters who can experience the value and then invite their network. Always open to more feedback.
