yeasku··on Dell admits consumers don't care about AI PCs
HN had many phases, crypto, js frameworks, the cloud...

The guy coding in C++ still has a great job, he didnt miss anything, is all fucking FOMO.

yeasku··on Dell admits consumers don't care about AI PCs
I am the most productive in my team, by far, 2 promotions in 1 year.

I never use LLMs

yeasku··on Opus 4.5 is not the normal AI agent experience that I have had thus far
I see people sharing stuff here every day.

What makes LLM makers different that they dont have time to share it like everybody else does?

yeasku··on Stop Doom Scrolling, Start Doom Coding: Build via the terminal from your phone
The LLM crowd kind of likes hype.
yeasku··on Opus 4.5 is not the normal AI agent experience that I have had thus far
What would be more likely,

That people making startups is too bussy working to share it on HN or that AI is useless in real projects.

yeasku··on Karpathy on Programming: “I've never felt this much behind”
I have seen it. And it is a mess.

Is not only that the.code quality is bad, to be fair in most projects is.

The biggest problem is every single component of the stack uses different conventions and names for everything.

When nobody looks at the code naming things becomes harder until everything is <generic name>

yeasku··on Static Allocation with Zig
Preciselly because C# uses GC is common to just allocate everything in a chunk to not trigger the gc later.

Aka you minimize allocations in gameplay.

yeasku··on When compilers surprise you
Bro...
yeasku··on When compilers surprise you
Everybody who has seen any video of Matt knows that.

You can be surprised about things you know for years.

For example I am surprised every time I think about js coalescing even tougth I know it for decades.

yeasku··on The port I couldn't ship
Creating a llama.cpp like software is not using LLMs to develop software neither.
yeasku··on When compilers surprise you
Trying to look smart by dissing Matt is not a good idea.
yeasku··on Google's year in review: areas with research breakthroughs in 2025
I have been reading the same since the 70s.

Sorry if I think your comment is a joke.

yeasku··on When compilers surprise you
As i said you must have a deeper knoledge than him.

It would be great if you shared it with the world like Matt does instead of being smug about it.

yeasku··on When compilers surprise you
For Matt, the creator of compiler explorer, those are surprises.

For you are essentials.

You and the juniors you hire must have a deeper knoledge than him.

yeasku··on The port I couldn't ship
I am waiting for a llm entusiast to create something like MicroQuickJS from scratch.
yeasku··on Google's year in review: areas with research breakthroughs in 2025
How is a good analogy if calculus is known to be fundamental in our understanding of the world and for ai the jury is out?
yeasku··on Google's year in review: areas with research breakthroughs in 2025
Imagine putting ai and google at the same level as calculus.
yeasku··on Google's year in review: areas with research breakthroughs in 2025
Dont worry somebody will tell you is your fault and then provide zero explanation on how to do it.
yeasku··on Don't Become the Machine
The 6 months ago is a meme at this point.
yeasku··on Don't Become the Machine
I would like to see you working in construction.

yeasku··on Reflections on AI at the End of 2025
Behind the computer 16 hours a day all their life?
