yangosoft··on Logo Programming
I couldn't be more grateful to my public school and my teacher for teaching us Logo in computer class on 486s.

For many of us, it was our first encounter with programming.

yangosoft··on Airport Simulator
Add some color blind option, please.

I cannot distinguish the two reds/browns/greens or whatever hehe.

yangosoft··on Show HN: Moongate – Ultima Online server emulator in .NET 10 with Lua scripting
Impressive!

I spent many many hours in UO when I was young.

It was so great playing in some shards with hundreds of real persons.

yangosoft··on The QNX Operating System
This series are quite interesting to understand and play with QNX 8.0

yangosoft··on KDE is now my favorite desktop
I've been using it daily since I installed Corel Linux, which included KDE 1.

Even during the difficult transition from KDE 3 to KDE 4.

I really like it. Complete customization and control.

A few months ago, I added some basic features to Gwenview; for the first time, I was able to give back to the community.

yangosoft··on Programming vehicles in games
I followed the tutorials from https://github.com/thalesrDev/godot-raycast-car-tutorial to learn a bit how to create an arcade racing game in Godot.

I was fascinated by AngeTheGreat https://github.com/ange-yaghi/engine-sim simulator

yangosoft··on Do you remember Ultima Online?
So many hours training a necromancer.

Really nice game.

yangosoft··on Postgres WASM
Agree, it is much slower.

I would be interesting to see a comparison between a full recompiled version running on top of a wasm runtime vs some container solution but seems they found a lot of problems recompiling it.

yangosoft··on Postgres WASM
Great! Really impressive.

It seems that WASM could be an alternative container solution.

This approach is like an intermediate step before recompiling it to wasm.

yangosoft··on Ask HN: Best practices for editing remote code locally?
Try NetBeans, works quite well for remote projects using SSH.

Also found vscode + remote SSH very useful, as others users recommended.

yangosoft··on Evolving clock sync for distributed databases
Understood. Thank you!
yangosoft··on Evolving clock sync for distributed databases
Aren't they providing NIC with hardware timestamp? That's bad.
