I stick to Latex Beamer, for an odd reason. I have anxiety giving presentations, so when using other software, I tend to procrastinate by tweaking looks, font sizes, images and so on. With Latex the bar for slipping to procrastination mode is higher.

Would someone kindly tell me (or direct me somewhere) how to extract funds from Tornado Cash given the web frontend being down? As far as I understand, the web must be just an interface to ethereum contract. Thanks.

(Given the sanctions concern US citizens only, I really can't understand just why there did not any alternative web interface for the rest of us pop up)

I wonder how much work would it entail to swap one actor's face for another's in a movie. Just finished watching Fury Road, and Tom Hardy just feels a bit off to me.

Would you please provide an example or direct towards some explanation? I can't seem to grasp what you mean exactly.

Sabine Hossenfelder did a nice video on the topic.

But you agree, don't you?

Tangentially related question: what is the best (~latest?) such a network uploaded to Colab one can toy with?

Aha! I wondered what those colorful stripes while launching Amiga games were. Thanks!

I tried to find the proposal as well, without success.

As an East European, I just laughed out loud. Presence of U.S. troops on our soil means absence of other troops, which most of us would consider a win, given our historical experience.

I am quite satisfied with FitoTrack. https://codeberg.org/jannis/FitoTrack

They should mirror somewhere outside of GitHub, this may get taken down.

I'm from the Czech Republic (inside former USSR's 'sphere of influence'), and the effects of Russian disinformation campaigns on our society are real. We are in a 'hybrid war' with Russia for at least ten years.

If the west fails to act effectively, I bet China will invade Taiwan in the following years.

I think modifying some fingerprintable apis to give faked/altered results could be enough, given the global fingerprint is a product of all partial fingerprints. Some extensions already implement that, eg. https://github.com/kkapsner/CanvasBlocker/

You can influence things happening now, not those that already happened.

One might argue genocide is worse than peppering.

If you're in temptation to image search cerebral fungal infection, don't.

I just checked another link on archive.org that really just explains how to do linear interpolation of a missing array element from neighboring elements. This is insane. GH should really be considered a potential single point of failure now.

Is there any way of laundering/anonymizing cryptocurrencies as of yet, or are the thieves stuck with their unsellable ether?

cranking it up increases 'engagement', probably

I had a period in my life when I could function only on painkillers, otherwise, the world seemed a bleak place to be. After getting better and stopping I had some mild withdrawal symptoms, but I can totally imagine stronger an addiction sneaks up on you before you notice it.

I am guilty. Also, I very much enjoy it.

You imply hacking human minds to be more acceptable than hacking computers?

The fact that even the 'smart' people from HN can't wait for their new M1 laptop to arrive convinced me that humans are a lost cause.

> The vast, vast, vast majority of the possible combinations of values of these physical constants produce boring universes, like a single huge black hole or just diffuse clouds of hydrogen without stars.

I wonder if there any universes possible which do not end in a big collapse or heat death. That is, which would be able to support life for eternity.

Still, almost impossible for a regular consumer to buy most foodstuff without plastic wrappings.
